Yesterday I created a giveaway.(I don't link to it because I don't want to be suspended for calling out)I wrote the link in the "Staff Feedback" topic(It was kind of hidden). But I fear the link got leaked.

Out of 10 entries 5 came from Greece(4 of them are in some group that's called something like Steamgifts greece)

2 others have private profiles,1 is from Germany,1 from Lithuana and I invited one friend of mine. These 5 probably found the giveaway.

2 of the greek guys won the giveaway and I think they got the leaked link.

What should I do now?I don't want to give leakers a game.

[EDIT]Asked support for a reroll.

The problem is,I have no real proof. It looks fishy but I am not sure if support would approve a reroll.

What are the odds that 50% of the entries are from Greece and in the same group? I think support would approve a reroll in your case.

^This.
If you just wrote the link or the giveaway you can't say it got leaked :P

Look at the last comment on this site..The space (character) between "the" and "mods" is the link.

LOL, I saw that pic, but missed the giveaway. Pretty cool. And yeah, it is suspicious, but I don't know what the rules are concerning hidden links. You should share your suspicions with a mod, see what happens.

You didn't specify not to share the link, so... Yeah.

Basically, you're not supposed to share a private giveaway that is not yours...

But it's written on the forum... you don't have to actually share it, just say "hey, look better at that post". Technically you didn't share anything.

So you're giving an hint, but you're not supposed to do that.

In the FAQ?

It's publicly posted though. Maybe one person told his greece friend that there is a hidden giveaway in the thread that he found.

You posted a hidden link in the forums not as a puzzle and without any rules?
I don't think you can blame anyone for possibly sharing it.

I'm sorry you feel this way but technically this is not against the rules (I might be wrong don't quote me on this :P) But it is infact not a puzzle only a hidden link. I do however understand your feelings and I would not share that link either way, but as I said from a strictly "by the rulebook" point of view is this not allowed?

But the link owner already shared it publicly in a forum post, so there was no "illicit" sharing involved...

Im confused, you created a giveaway and posted the link to the giveaway in a forum thread, and now you're moaning because people used that link to enter the giveaway? Why post the link in the first place then?

They gave the link to others who didn't look at the comment.

He doesn't. It's a suspicion, a valid one at that. Like he said, he thinks it got leaked.

You can't leak something you are not supposed to hide... it was a post in a forum! It's public domain, without "disclaimer", and doesn't require "skills" to find a "solution" (AKA puzzle)...

Actually this one requires some "skills". I don't think it's so simple to spot.

BTW OP nice way to hide the GA :)

If you put your link in a public place then you should expect that to happen.

Wait, you just wrote the link in a post, and you think "it might got leaked"? Yea, it got leaked... by you!

There's a difference between sharing a link and hiding it.

If you posted the link in a topic somewhere there's really no way to prove whether they got the link from where you posted it or from someone else.
