I like to see comedy movies with my wife. Jim Carrey and Robin Williams (R.I.P.) are the best for me. Which comedy movie (old or new) do you recommend me to see?

Here a Ga for you, kind people :)
Lvl 2 and only for South America, sorry :(

Yes, I was going to add Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
That one has soo much subtle humor in it.

In a different life I once saw a movie rather by accident which I thought was very funny.
But I have no idea how it is called.
It's about a bunch of knights who get kidnapped in an alien spaceship and than rather by accident take over the ship which is on auto pilot to the alien home planet who believe that the unknown aliens in their craft must be super crafty.
That's what my early teenage self remembers. ( pretty sure it was a British flick)

Also on topic: Space Balls and Old School

Searching I found "The High Crusade" which sounds like what you're talking about.

omg,...Yes I think that that is the one...
I am quite surprised that Roland Emmerich directed the movie.
Thanks for finding the title. :)

I hate to admit it but the film I have probably laughed the most at is South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut. Oh the absurdity, and the songs are pretty catchy too.

Maybe not my favorites (those were named before) but still pretty good:

"Galaxy Quest" starring Tim Allen, Alan Rickman and Sigourney Weaver

"Paul" starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost

"We're the Millers" starring Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis

Even though I hate movies that aren't in English, I loved The Intouchables.

Some of these may get a bit bloody but all of them are mainly comedies;
Fido, Black Sheep, Wasting Away (also known as "Aaah! Zombies!!"), Re-animator and Netherbeast Incorporated.

Following are comedies and don't have horror element in them at all:
Jerk, Kopps, Men at Work, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Superbad, Deadpool and Blazing Saddles.

Talking about comedies that are bloody, have you seen "Tucker and Dale vs Evil"?

Yes I have and if I remember right I even liked it quite much. I have soft spot for hillbillies, none of them can be evil, just misunderstood (except the ones from Deliverance) ^^

I can't pick just one... :/

So I'll just give you a list instead:

All the Police Academy films
Get Smart
The Naked Gun and it's sequels
The Pink Panther (the 2006 one, haven't watched the other one)

Those are just off the top of my head so I can probably think of more if given enough time. :P

Don't really have a favorite, but I'll mention two old ones that I don't tend to see mentioned:
It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World
Blackbeard's Ghost

Edit: Extra movie as I didn't see it mentioned: La chèvre which had an american remake called Pure Luck
