Here's the astrotrain

Normal rules apply. Please don't post in every giveaway unless you have something funny, witty or interesting to say (and please don't just do something predictable like post "something funny" or a variation on that. It's getting old). And don't post where you entered from. If people who enter through leaked links are so lazy that they can't be bothered to get to the end of the train to check where it's from, it's their own darn fault they're getting blacklisted.

And instead of just posting "bump", please tell me what your favourite cartoon or comic was as a kid. Mine should be quite obvious ;)

When I was a kid my favorite cartoon was Tom & Jerry and comic it was Calvin and Hobbes, I guess I had a thing for duos with felines in it.

Right now I have a thing for DC, been reading quite a few Rebirth issues.

My favorite cartoon when I was a kid was Transformers. I have very good memories with that series, never missed an episode, and even cried when Optimus Prime died in the movie, and later again in the series (I was very little... :P). This series was broadcasted for the first time very late in the 80's and early in the 90's here in Chile, unfortunately. But I guess it's better late than never. It's a shame that the movies and some series based on the original G1 series / comics / original japanese series and toys turned out so bad. The comics published by IDW are really good, though.

Favourite cartoons overall were probably Captain Tsubasa - not surprisingly in a soccer-crazy country such as Italy :) - and Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star) which was astonishingly popular here despite never airing on national channels due to violence. Comics as a kid traditional Disney , I still read as an adult my weekly Topolino(Mickey Mouse) magazine :DD

And thanks for the train ;)

EDIT: Just noticed that malabagaa a few posts up has attached a milestone Topolino cover !

Used to watch a ton of cartoons as a kid, many of which I've forgotten, but I think my favourite was possibly Thundercats.

I've never been into comics, but I've watched many great cartoons. Two of the best that come to mind were:

  • La corona mágica - There was something about the atmosphere of this one. It combines magic and technology, imagine something like King's Quest in space. Story was very interesting, the animation was great, the music composed by Jean-Michel Jarre was fantastic and contributed very much to the atmosphere I mentioned. I've been wanting to watch it again for years (because I don't remember much of it), but the problem is that now you can only find it online in Spanish. There are no subtitles and no dubs in different languages, aside from a single episode here and there. Here's the intro that plays at the beginning of each episode and this is Episode 1.

  • The Mysterious Cities of Gold. Also had amazing music and a sense of mystery. Intro and some sort of fan-made trailer.

Looney Toons was my favorite as a kid, hands down, the variety and the amount of episodes are all great.
(some of the hanabarbara stuff was also great)

Todays fav cartoon tied between South Park and Rick & Morty.

As for comics, I've been enjoying several ongoing comics:
New Gate
Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken
One Punch Man
Tales of Demons and Gods

Canceled comic I liked:
Breaker New Waves
Mx0
Psyren (yea, it was cancelled, don't let the rushed 'ending' fool you)

Completed comic I liked:
Full Metal Alchemist
Claymore
Angel Densetsu
One Piece (the older volumes I liked, the newer ones are just, blah to me)
Hunter x Hunter (the older volumes I liked, the newer ones are just, blah to me)
