Here's the astrotrain

Normal rules apply. Please don't post in every giveaway unless you have something funny, witty or interesting to say (and please don't just do something predictable like post "something funny" or a variation on that. It's getting old). And don't post where you entered from. If people who enter through leaked links are so lazy that they can't be bothered to get to the end of the train to check where it's from, it's their own darn fault they're getting blacklisted.

And instead of just posting "bump", please tell me what your favourite cartoon or comic was as a kid. Mine should be quite obvious ;)

As a kid I loved many cartoons, but to this day I would say: Once Upon a Time... Space / ... Life / ... Man

Thanks for the train :)

Oh man I could go on and on about my favorite cartoons from the 80's.

I loved Voltron, Transformers, The Real Ghostbusters, Brave Star, GI Joe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Like I said I could keep going. I don't think that I would be able to choose just one as my favorite.

I haven't really dug into 80s cartoons, and in the 90s I casually watched anime. but i wouldn't know what my favourite cartoon would me. probably over the garden wall. a simple and short one with an interesting setting.

I don't know that I have much to say... not sure I have a favorite? But have a bump just the same.

Transformers here too. I actually learned English from watching the show (together with a few other ones; M.A.S.K., He-Man, Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors and Ulysses 31 to name some of them, Transformers was the one I had the toys from though)

I never liked cartoons or comics, they made me so irritated with fact they were so stupid.

Like I wasn't even able to watch Cow & Chicken, Ed Edd Eddy or Courage the cowardly Dog, Scooby-Doo etc., bc I was sitting in front of TV thinking "God, it's so stupid ; _ ; "

I watched mostly science-related programs or stuff like Once Upon a Time... Life.

I was "fun kid", I know :D

I watched Once Upon a time.. Life as well. For some reason, their depictions of things got so stuck in my mind that I use those to remember some biological functions.

Depends on the age, but I was really into TMNT for a while. Had a bunch of the toys and even went to see the Coming Out of their Shells tour! Kinda funny to see my kid is into them now.

I just have to bump with some music from the shows I mentioned in my previous comment. All of those shows had excellent opening songs:
M.A.S.K.
He-Man
Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors
Ulysses 31

Also, have you heard this one? Makes me laugh every time :D

They missed an opportunity with the song in Swedish. In the comicbooks they translated "Decepticons" to "Bedragarna"m they should have use that name in the song.

It's not a real theme song, it was made just a few years ago by someone who does mock-themes who do a pretty good job of imitating the cheesiness of many translated theme songs.

Note how "autobots" is translated to "the automatic robots" and not "the car robots" (or anything similar), that was totally done on purpose, translating the way someone who knew nothing about the show might translate it.

I've seen the cartoon, so i know it's not the "real" one but just a silly joke. Still, they should have stuck with the bad "official" translation, for comedic effect.

+1 for Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors theme, shame the cartoon never got an ending.

Nooo, someone already mentioned M.A.S.K. Well I still have to post the intro since it really deserves a bit better quality video (mwhahahh).

I really loved the series, actually I bought a DVD set when it got the R2 release (you can just guess how I cursed when the R1 was on Amazon and R2 was nowhere to be found...). They release the first part of the series as R2 and then decided to wait for couple of years to release the second part with small number of copies... I was left with first part AND the complete box. Well my brother took the first part when I offered it to him :) The image quality isn't really great in the DVD release but one can't really complain since there aren't any other possibility to watch it :(

Oh wow, I would have thought I would never ever hear the Swedish version of the intro :D Yeah, I had quite many cartoons with swedish dub and finnish subs (and covers). Can't really remember the company which distributed the cartoons here but I suppose it was originally swedish and exported those to Finland with different covers. Sometimes the dub was really bad and funny (even when it wasn't supposed to be) and sometimes it was great.

Also although not a cartoon, Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future was really great! I must admit watching the VHS quite many times to the point the tape wasn't in good condition anymore... I believe that the VHS had 2-4 episodes and I never saw the rest (imdb tells that the Captain Power had 22 episodes... oh boy I missed a lot!) Strange thing is that no one of my friends has heard about this one, dunno if I was lucky and my father had found rare gem or my friends had just passed the tape by it being childish etc.

I remember there was a cartoon like Transformers but I'm not sure if it was Transformers or it was just similar. The only thing I remember was a big truck converting to a robot and MAYBE some guy was sitting in it's "head". Not sure though.

Oh, man - cartoons, comics and games is all my life. As a kid I was pretty obsessed with Smurfs, He-Man and Masters of the Universe, the 1986s Wizard of Oz anime and TMNT (or Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles in Europe). When it comes to comics from my childhood, I've always loved polish classic series like Tytus, Romek and A'Tomek and french/belgian series like Hugo, Smurfs or Asterix.

Freakazoid was amazing, even if I wasn't exactly a kid anymore. And as a comic collector, that's impossible not to mention Batman or Wolverine as a kid. But today my favorite comic book character would be Transmetropolitan's Spider Jerusalem. That's a must read.
thanks for the train

You could call this Wagon Train to the Stars. I hear that name isn't taken yet.

I loved Johnny Quest, the original series from the 60s. It was a treat to catch on TV, sometimes in a weird time slot on the weekends, because it wasn't on very often and still controversial for its violence because bad guys frequently died if they got shot or blown up.
