Man, this story is really sad. Especially at christmas time. My sympathies.
I think, many people will appreciate the giveaways, so thanks.
Anyway. Have a great day <3

Sorry for your loss too, so many of us are going and are missed.

It may save your life one day, though, to know what the cause was.

Sorry for your loss, and right on the holidays no less.
I wish you and your family all the best through this time, and I admire you keeping your perspective the way you seem to be.
Merry Christmas to you and yours, and I hope you all can bring each other comfort and joy.

The true value of lives is in how they have touched the lives of others. We continue to live on in the memories of those we leave behind.

The value of life is something that has me thinking about a lot lately actually. I mean, before my dad died that is. And I can't really grasp what is it that exactly gives value. It's not just how you libve on in memories of others I think, but what it does is (yeah I know that is wrong English, but don't know how to express myself any better), I don't really know. I do know that it is easy to lose track if it though.
Thanks for your comment.

I have always found this a rather strange sentence in the English language ever since I first heard of it.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate your reaction, but I find it rather odd that we express being sorry for something 'bad' that happened to someone else that we totally have no control over. :)

Because that expression is used when a person accidentally remind someone of a deceased family member, thus that person blames himself for bringing back the bad memories. Through time it gradually changed its meaning and became a common expression to say to the family members of someone that has just passed away.
Anyway, I'm sorry to hear your bad news. And wish you a long and profound life.

sorry for your loss.
As long as we keep our memories of our departed love ones. They always be with us.
I remember my grandfather when i was little when we visit him (He lives in an island) so I frolic in the sun. So when its time to stop and i go home. He prepares hot water for me to rinse the sea water out.

Merry christmas!sorry to hear this, all humans wil succumb to what is the end of out cycle, death. It is but one part of life.
Anyway im confused, he killed him self? his pipe was on the floor? what does that mean? sorry if im insensitive :(
Comment has been collapsed.
Nope, he just died.
His pipe on the floor means, well, that it fell in the floor (if he would have falen asleep, he would have put it away).
And no, you are not being insensitive, not asking questiuons about things yuou are wondering, for the sake of avoiding it, is not really the way to go in my opinion.

Sorry for your loss, death may be a part of life but that doesn't make it any easier when it happens to those close to us.

I am not really sure how to bring this and less even about what title to give this. But I felt like putting it up here anyway.
My father would go on a holiday for 2 weeks with his girlfriend last friday. He has the same tendency as I have, which is going to bed rather late. So he agreed with his girlfriend to not stay up too late as they would have a trip to make. His girlfriend woke up at 5 AM to take her pills, when she noticed him not being upstairs yet. Kinda pissed she went downstairs and found my father sitting straight up on a dinnertable. Having his knived laid out in front of him (which he always packs and brings along with him when they go on vacation). At first she thought that was a strange position to fall asleep, so she actually thought he was trying to fool her. Which would be typical of him. Only, well, he was a bit too cold to be sleeping and his pipe lay on the ground. :/
He has always had a big thing with caterpillar like machines. In fact, the way he lies on his deathbed, looks exactly the way he looked when he fell asleep while having the TV turned on in the background and a magazine about some tractor stuff lying over him.
So I felt like putting these GA's here in his honour.
Please only enter these if you actually intend to play these. Normally I would not request this, but in this case I do.
Feel free to share a link to someone else you think will be interested in actually playing one of these games.

I am not intending this to be a topic full of sorrow. Death is a part of life. Although nice comments are nice off course. :)
On a last note, Happy Christmas to the people who do Christmas!
Giveaways are over now, and thanks everyone for all the comments here!
Funeral was good yesterday, I personally might not believe in the classical view of afterlife, but I've seen a lot of similarities between me and my father to know that he will live on (in part) by means of me being alive.
