Watched it again after Leo's oscar, it looks like real but the people in plane look like robots.
What do you think, did the totem fall?

Edit: Half of us don't know it :(

No.
Not sure, we are not supposed to know.
Wtf are you talking about?

The totem started wobbling before it cuts to dark, I've always interpreted that as the totem falling.

Same here. Also, it seems like the ending was too perfect to be true, that's why he spinned his totem.

None of that was real: it was just a movie.

If you believe that there are an infinite number of universes, then technically the events of the movie actually happened in one of them, thus making it real. Just not in our universe!

This would apply to every other movie as well as to video games. ;D

Where is the "I didn't understand anything that happened in the movie" option?

There is a theory that your object must be your own. The top is his wife's... and some suggest that Leo's back to reality thing is his wedding ring.

After I've seen it I have done some research myself. Rumours said that after the credits end you'd hear the totem fall, but ther's nothing to hear. I've read an analysis tho, which made a lot of sense to me. The whole movie is actually a dream. I couldn't find the exact same thing I've read since it's so long ago, but there were a lot of examples that made total sense. Like when Leo gets chased through that ... african/asian city and he escapes through those walls that seem to be closing in and just when he got through the chinese business guy picks him up. How does he know where to get him? Seems way too convenient. Lot of stuff like that. There are also other explainations online, including some unused dialogues from the script that should clarify a lot of unanswered questions.
Anyway, got it on DVD and I should watch it again myself. I loved the movie so much.

At the end he returned to his home. His children are important. All the movie they are with the same clothes and have all the time the same age...but in the end they have other clothes and are older.

Doesn't matter. It's not reality. It's just how a guy thought and I can think anything, I'm not limited to his mind and I don't have to accept what he was thinking.

The totem doens't fall. I believe that in his movie Christopher Nolan briliantly impies the idea that in movies you have a dream-like experience (and in my opinion not just in movies, but in all kinds of art). So, the movie itself is a dream and Crhistopher Nolan as a director has the freedom to "build his own world", like a dream architect. Art is what gets you out of the phisical world and takes you in a much more interesting "reality" (like in a dream).

Which makes me think that video games should be considered as art too. :)

The totem fell. He was in reality.

The totem started shaking before the end, so yeah, I suppose it was the reality.

Totem was about to fall. Besides, the director confirmed that he was in reality. Not to mention he could see the faces of his children. I never understand why people ever have any doubts about it.
