Forgive me, Steamgifts. For I have leeched.
Happy Cake Day ^.^
I'm looking forward to read through your train :3 I already read your text about Tales of Zestiria and now I wish I had time to return to the Tales series and play some more. I love these games and from the little time I played, yes, Zestiria might be the bad apple, but it's still great and I adore the characters.
I really plan on playing all of my games, one day, or at least try them. So without idling, I also have a ton of games with card drops left, but those cards are just a bonus, not the reason I have these games ^^ so who cares :3
But all my won games here have a special category in my library, to remind me how lucky I was and to be grateful. Even if I didn't have time to play a game yet, it will always have a special place and when I don't know what to play next, the 'Lucky Winner' category is the place I look first.
Apart from playing for my tiny YouTube Channel, Guild Wars 2 it consuming my time, but it's the only MMO I still play and it's not as time consuming as others (no need to grind after every content update, no item spiral, etc.), so it's fine :3 Besides, it's something I can enjoy with people I love!
And a wishlisted game I just won is waiting for me! So I should not write a wall of text and stop here ^^
Hope you enjoy the fatherhood game :D The achievements may take forever, but I'm sure they're worth it!
And don't forget to eat some cake :D

Yeah, should boot up Berseria. If Zesteria is the black sheep I definitely want to experience all the "good ones", cause Zesteria was great.
That's a pretty good idea actually. I have a .txt with wins with them sorted by played/unplayed and the unplayed again by wishlisted/really interested/rest. The library thing would have been a better idea. 0_o
I know the pain. Used to play The Old Republic a long time ago. Didn't even really like the game, but played it co-op with a friend so that was fun and met some great people. But too many balance patches making me re-skill and re-learn just let me fed up and I just stopped. Never really looked back.
Also, yeah, imagine I could play a game with the hours spend making this train. But then people wouldn't win juicy games, cluttering my Indiegala, Humble and Fanatical libraries XD
Thanks for the cake and will do. Who thought it would take over 18 years for an achievement though...

Well, today marks my 3rd cakeday here on Steamgifts. So in annual tradition I made a cakeday train.
This time around I based it around my experiences with the games I won here.
I've won some amazing games, some games I wasn't sure of that I liked them then fell in love once I got to try them and got the rest of the series. But I also, especially early on, fell pray to the +1 or just winning for trading cards since "no one else would play this crap anyway (and I can confirm a lot of these are terrible) so if everyone only idles them why not me?"
I've never idled games without trying though, that's why I got so many games with cards left to collect since I definitely want to give them a try when I gather those (and if terrible do let them running afk). And a sadly higher than I would have liked unplayed wins from this site.
Very shortly after joining the site my gf got pregnant and boy, did I underestimate how that would impact my gaming time (while not adjusting entries here). We also used to play many HOGs together so I won several here to play in co-op but that also drastically reduced, leaving many of those unplayed still aswell. I have in the past year adjusted my view on entering though to be more suited to match the time available, generally only browsing my wishlist. 2018 didn't make it easier to release 2 guarantian games my way I was mostly interested in, backing them. Divinity: Original Sin 2 and Pillars of Eternity 2 took a lot of gametime this past year.
Well, with that intro out of the way, get your ticket for the train here. Along the way I penned down several thoughts of games I won here and played. Hopefully these are of interest to atleast some entrants since they sure took a long time to write all:
