Depends the type of games you like. My brother was playing Amalur on PS3, really liked him and had a good time. I played GTA V and I enjoyed it.

GTA V
It is a good game that has politically incorrect content and so was banned by the over-sensitive people in some parts of Australia.
It has hours upon hours of fun gameplay.

GTA V single player isn't that bad, but it's not an awesome game too. Multiplayer is useless and boring. Vice City was much better.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is a nice game, but isn't that interesting.
GTA V is more expensive, but it'll probably have more playtime hours, so maybe choose this?!

GTA V is held together by more hype than actual content/quality, but it is still a decent game, especially if you prefer the fuckaroundery aspect of open-world games opposed to the core storyline (which, even some fans admit, is self-repetitive as hell in GTA V).
Kingdoms of Amalur, on the other hand, seems to be a game so great it bankrupted the developers. Then again, I see Todd McFarlane was involved in it, so I guess that was more than expected. That man hasn't had an original idea in almost 30 years now, and he even got terrible at copying others' work.
My advice: flip a coin.

Neither get rise of tomb raider or final fantasy x

Kingdoms of Amalur is the MMO that's a single player offline game (literally, it started out as an MMO concept). GTA Online is kinda shaky according to friends, modders / randoms ruining everything, money income is low ... so consider the usual "if it has open online, then someone can and will try to ruin your fun" aspect of it.
Kindgoms of Amalur is 5€ literally every sale, so you probably won't have to long for the next deal if you'd choose GTA.

I'd say Kingdoms if you're not sure. It's a good RPG with pretty good combat (I went for a mage and it's super fun) Half a ton of side missions that will keep you busy for hours. Also it doesn't go on sale a whole lot and has probably hit the lowest it will ever get, whereas GTA will carry on getting lower. Maybe wait until Spring sale for GTA.
But obviously it's up to you, whatever you actually feel like going for, go for it.

So there is a quite big sale going on and I'm deciding between buying GTA V and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
Which one should I get?
Any opinions welcome.
