How are winners decided in this?

I'm curious about the process of choosing the winners

If you ever see a giveaway that says "Anonymous" won, that is actually Harry Potter.

Those with the greatest sacrifice to the god of gifts gain access to the circle of randomness. Then a fight to the death occurs. To the winner go the spoils.

Yeah, it's totally random. Also, a few nuances: since it's totally random, if you enter a giveaway with fewer entrants, you'll have a higher chance of winning. If you enter the Bioshock 2 giveaway with 3,000+ entrants, you're a lot less likely to win than if you enter the Victoria II giveaway with 200. Of course, it's very unlikely either way, and Bioshock 2 is a better game than Victoria II, so you'll just have to figure out what's worth it and what isn't. Also, people in the forums will often post links too puzzles (usually at itstoohard.com), and if you solve the puzzle, you get a link to a private giveaway that only people who solved the puzzle can enter. You have a much higher chance of winning (I once entered--and won-- a giveaway with only three people), but solving the puzzles can be very time consuming. People tend to make them very difficult, usually only solvable via google, because the harder it is, the fewer entrants. Also, they're sadists ;)
