I'm not sure why everybody thinks there are tons of fakes.
I can't imagine that more than maybe 2% of giveaways are fake. And most of those get deleted before they even finish.

When you type it into comments, you know that the person made the effort to type it in, if they just click it, that juts goes away, and they are just clicking another button.

This has been posted many (read: MANY) times.

If there's a 'thank you' button, it takes the entire meaning of 'thank you' out of it, because it takes no effort and then, are you really thanking them?

I love the Facebook generation. When writing few characters feels too demanding, use the generic button to express yourself!

Well I think he/she ment somethign like the reputation in TF2R. There is a positive rating button and a negative one.
