I'm feeling for another GA to do, also need more of da metal.

My playlist so far.

I prefer power metal songs or any metal song with a fast rhythm; songs to make me energetic, hyper, excited, etc.

From what I see in your playlist, Turisas sounds just about right. Also this. If you want to get it a bit harder though, this is the way to go. And if you want to have some DMT experience with music, this is what I suggest and this is my personal favourite.

I'd say Tool and Porcupine Tree are my favourites atm, it's progressive metal but you should give it a try.

Last.fm tells me Blind Guardian, Helloween, DragonForce, Sonata Artica, Nightwish, Edguy, Freedom Call and Gamma Ray.
From my own experience (which isn't much, since I don't enjoy power metal that much), I would add Symphony X and Angra, which are prog/power metal, and also Avantasia.

Since Sabaton featured a keyboardist I kinda over-generalised from here and looked for bands with keyboardists that I listened to...turns out, not that many, and almost all progressive metal choices based on your playlist...

Dream Theater, especially Train of Thought which ranks among their heavier stuff, but there are definitely mellower albums that stray closer to normal progressive rock than metal
Cynic, especially Focus which is still probably their heaviest record due to death metal elements, but contains some not-as-death moments, is a bit challenging to get into due to various factors (including vocoder vocals) but ultimately rewarding (imo). Their later albums shift closer to progressive rock but still are unmistakably them - sadly as of last year the band status is in dispute :(

For something on the more abrasive side (and these are more my personal picks and not based on your playlist), you can't do much wrong with Megadeth (Peace Sells...But Who's Buying?!), Slayer (Reign in Blood) or my current favourite, Testament (I really dig Souls of Black though The Legacy is (rightfully) more celebrated)

Drowning Pool
Halestorm
Lacuna Coil

I also like a mix of metal and techno. A few examples:

GWAR was my first thought after starting his playlist. The lead for Sabaton sounds much like Oderus Urungus (Dave Brockie... RIP!)

Catchy?
That's subjective, if you want my advice.

I believe loads of people already told you that, but you should try :

  • PANTERA: Everything from "Cowboys From Hell" to "The Great Southern Trendkill"
  • MACHINE HEAD: "Burn My Eyes", "The More Things Change", "Through The Ashes of Empires" and "The Blackening".
  • ANNIHILATOR: "Alice In Hell" and "Never Neverland"
  • SLAYER: From "Reign in Blood" to "Divine Intervention"
  • RAGE: All you have to listen is "Rage - Live at Zeche, Bochum"

I know it's mostly Thrash Metal, but hey... Thrash 'til Death! \m/

Their recent album is pretty solid imo, in case you didn't get to it yet! Worse song is the last, which is a cover. (I was used to liking one to three songs per album post-Youthanasia and before this one)

I'm not gonna read all the previous comments, just gonna list some my favorites (aside from Iron Maiden and such of course, since probably I don't need to introduce those). Also Pretty much almost anything from Napalm or Nuclear Blast Records.

Three metal albums I have on my iPhone right now are the newest Black Dahlia Murder, Bog Oak and Teeth. Death, sludge and dissonant death. Don't know if you're into that, but there are some songs worth suggesting, I think, but I'm on my phone right now so you gotta search 'em yourself :/
M.S.G. - Assault Attack
Devin Townsend Band - Vampira
I think they might be sth you'd like and also... Ghost. Just everything they ever madr. Their newest album Meliora is a must... Uh... Must-listen?

I'm guessing that we don't have same taste in metal, judging from your playlist and what most people suggested.
My picks would me Nightwish, Sonata Arctica, Van Canto, Hammer Fall, Masterplan, Avantasia... There are some other perfomers, but I just like one or two songs from their repertoire, like Disturbed's - The Sound of Silence; I know that original isn't theirs.
