Metal music suggestion?

Just some of my favourites (mostly pagan/viking/pirate stuff, I like my metal entertaining) - Skyforger, Turisas, Alestorm, Korpiklaani, Eluveitie... :)

not sure if it will fit with others in your playlist, but nightwish's "Planet Hell", "Amaranth" and "Dark Chest of Wonders" are my all time favourites. Hell, take any random Nightwish song at it's almost certainly a great one.
Also Alestorm has some good songs if you like pirates xD

Especially: Ultra-Violent and Bloodbrawl

Periphery, Soilwork, Solution .45, Scar Symmetry are all super heavy bands with great singers, but they have some growls/shouts thrown in as well.

Freak Kitchen is an interesting three-piece with some amazing guitar work and pretty hilarious songs.

Tesseract is a great band if you're into more ambient progressive metal.

Haunted Shores, Scale the Summit, and Animals as Leaders are interesting if you want some instrumental technical metal.

Alter Bridge is more power metal, but worth checking out if you're into that sort of thing instead.

Opeth's newer stuff is less death metal and more like The Sword or Priestess-style stoner metal.

I've been really into Phinehas lately as well, but they're definitely on the heavier end of the spectrum.
