I'm feeling for another GA to do, also need more of da metal.

My playlist so far.

I prefer power metal songs or any metal song with a fast rhythm; songs to make me energetic, hyper, excited, etc.

Can never go wrong with Ensiferum. But more or less, I'd say Crow's Claw. Fucking wicked.
Also Deluhi, but that's almost a guilty pleasure with me :X

Sabaton is a damn good choice! If you want something kinda goofy and symphonic, might I suggest Kamelot? They're wanky as all hell, but they manage to hit a decent variety in tones, and I find I can't help but like them. Some really strong, aggressive drum lines on display that get the blood pumping nicely. To my surprise, I'm not seeing any Manowar on this page. While the music itself is enjoyable, I find their whole geeking-out-over-vikings aesthetic to be hilarious. That probably sounds like I'm making fun of them, but as a big ol' D&D-playing nerd, I actually get exactly where they're coming from. They sit right in that fine balanced zone where it's hard to say how tongue-in-cheek they're being. Lastly, if you don't mind a little bit more of a high-pitched hair metal sound, Edguy is a real favorite of mine in that area.

The bands I really like are:

Iron Maiden
Judas Priest
Saxon
Powerwolf
Manowar
Megadeth
Arch Enemy (melodic death metal, so not for everyone)
Amon Amarth (melodic death / viking metal)
Whitesnake
Within Temptation
Epica (although I don't like all songs)
Skid Row (only really listened to their first album, but it's just amazing!)
Satan
Overkill

I can go on for quite a while longer, but those are the best in my opinion (from the ones I listened to).

+1 for Skid Row even if they are a bit too "soft" as for their genre.

True, but they really do have that old school feeling to it (at least the first album), which I totally love.

Did you like their new CD "High Country"? I bought it off iTunes and I kinda don't like it because the style is different from their heavy sound.

I've not listened to High Country yet, only gotten as far as Age of Winters.

Oh, yeah. Age Of Winters is a fucking AWESOME album. That song "Freya"... the first time I ever listened to it was while I played that racing game Burnout and I had to know more about the band. Sounded different from everything else at the time.

<3 Septicflesh

Recently i've been listening to the last 3 Moonspell albums, but for some reason i cant get enough of their Folk Metal stuff, mainly Wolfheart.
Even though it was their debut album and there is a clear progression when you compare it with their latest stuff

I mainly listen to not-that-popular bands of melodic power metal so here comes my recommendation:
Heavenly:Virus and their whole discography.
ReinXeed:Lightning Strikes Again
If Dragonforce is in your taste check Pathfinder: March To The Darkest Horizon or Chronokinesis
(I'll add more later as I am still at work)
