The UK government is looking to introduce internet surveillance and me and my flatmate have been discussing how dangerous it is.
It seems incredibly open to abuse and they have even tried to justify it by quoting Goebbels: 'if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear.'
Anyone have any thoughts?

Small giveaway cause why not :)
And another :)

Video my flatmate made last night on the topic if anyone's more interested.

Let me rephrase.

Use a secure VPN

There are always ways of layering encryption to obfuscate traffic. Sure it may be "possible" to crack them, but the time required for many of these calculations is unrealistic. As computing power increases, so do the sizes and types of ciphers and keys.

Doesn't matter UK, US...look up Five Eyes...the laws are only there so they can claim the people allowed and want them to do what they're doing and going to do anyway.

Is this going to be one of those searches that opens my eyes to unnamed horrors and leaves me curled up in a ball? :P
