While I kind of agree with you in that "news" in general sucks balls often, and a lot (if not 99%) of news channels are flat-out retarded or part of a larger misinformation campaign, I wonder if you've ever watched any Fox news, Glen Beck, or Bill O'Reilly shows. Do you have a single clue how horrible an institution Fox is?

Entirely irrelevant to the point I was making; just because they might have a few unbiased stories here or there (mostly in this case because it's not an issue you really can afford much political meaning to) doesn't mean that in general, their reporting - particularly on political or international issues - is a mash-up of biased, condescending, ignorant diatribe.

And who ever said I call it news? I even put "news" in quotation marks in my first post to make much the same point you've just made - it's not real news. Demonizing them (with facts btw, not conjecture or biased ranting) was, in this context, a defensive response to the moronic "libtard" remark. So, quite warranted / with good reason. It doesn't have to be a unique or hereto unknown point to be valid and worth saying - it just needs a reason to be said.

"If you can be swayed politically by something you read, you might as well be swayed politically, because your beliefs are weak as shit" - seems more like the kind of thing someone wanting to sound smart would say than a genuinely intelligent response. How does that make any sense whatsoever? Surely, someone trying to make an intelligent choice as to their political leanings would make those choices and have those leanings based on facts and what the actual stance of a certain political party / politician was? How do you propose you acquire those facts then? Telepathy? Or are you saying it's more smart to ignorantly keep following the same thought process / political stance throughout life, stubbornly and unflinchingly ascribing personal import to something and not being open to growth / new insight? Help me out here.
