Updated on a tight budget to an FX 6100 (6-core, 3.3ghz) and a 6670 (2gb DDR3). Who cares, Witcher 2 still runs like crap. But I recently got a (wired) Xbox 360 gamepad (best pad eva) and I'm quite happy.

8GB DDR3 Memory (1066mhz i believe)
Intel Core 2 Quad 2,33GHz (It's a beast even if it's old)
Acer 1920x1080 Full HD Screen (Good for movies, bad for games)
Nvidia Geforce GT230 1,5GB (You'd say wow, a card from 2009 has 1,5GB video mem, but i gotta say that this is ddr2 vid mem, which make this card suck, even a GT8600 is better than my card, plus my full hd screen makes it even suck even more)

$2200 back in autumn '11. The SSDs are 90GB each, SATAII. The GPU is a HD6970.
I can't be arsed installing SiSoft for this, but I run all modern games without issues (except for Serious Sam 3, fucking nVIDIA exclusive game).

this motherboard overcolcks, I found I'd been running the poor cpu at about 25% overclock since I installed it, left it cooking, as it has worked fine for months like that no need to change it.
