Dead Man's Draw

You need to own one of the following games:

Now to get the game:

  1. Go to https://www.stardock.com/ and login with your Steam account. Enter your email and validate it.
  2. Start any of the games and the Stardock game launcher opens. Look for a Free Game button which will open a page on the Stardock website https://prnt.sc/qwct6j. Alternative without the need to install any of the games go to https://www.stardock.com/games/promotions?providerappid=<appid>&promoid=freedmd&providertypeid=2&providerid=<steamid>. Replace <steamid> with your steamID64 and <appid> with one of the app ids that you own.
  3. Validate your email again and get your Steam key for the game.

The Stardock server is under heavy load. You need to wait a few hours for your validation mails. Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion was available for free in December 2018 so most should own this one. It might be that you need some playtime in the game. Either start the game or use an idler to get that.

You can also get Offworld Trading Company but this is only free multiplayer not full game. So don't make giveaways for the full game. Discussion

The worst is I imagine it'll be put in the no CV list so they probably won't gain anything. Meanwhile the site is overloaded so people who actually would like to play the game can't get a copy...

Well then it makes it even worst since they also created two other extra giveaways with 13 copies each.
I really don't understand the incentive to hog that many copies if it's a 0CV game?

They're not very bright, that's why they do this. None of them read the site guidelines, so they hoard keys for free and expect to gain something from it anyway.

Trying for 40 minutes, I can't login with steam and when I use the promo ID link I put my email in and receive nothing.

Thanks, but I guess I'll have to wait a lot longer for the email validation message. Also it took me a long time for them to pass me off to Steam login or pass back to Stardock. They must be slammed.

It doesn't work for me. I validated the email twice but nothing happened.
The validation link brings me in a page that says: "Validation Successful. Thank you for validating, you may now close this window." and nothing more.

Yeah I had a similar issue so if your getting your keys now it looks like there two major bottle necks.

Initial registration requires email confirmation and those can be delayed 4+ hours
Then when u go to claim the key you need another email confirmation another 4+ hours

After doing the second one, I did get my key.

Don't hit the resend button, it won't make it faster, you will get multiple emails, and further clog the system.
