Sorting your game library

Oh my, I would never find anything if I had so many categories.

Fav, A Game In Progress, Betas, F2P, Half-Life, Indie, Other.

I don't have to sort, I've got only 22 games which I can see the games I want to install or play

+MAC

+NOT SO GOOD

+GAMES

Finished. Faves. Not so Faves.

FYI you can classify a game in as both Faves and Finished (or another category).

I used to sort by genre... but then I would have like 20 games in the RPG genre, and only 2 in FPS.

So I made it like this:

• Big games
• Small games
• Games I don't play
• Games I want to play but can't play
• Games I am done with

I do it like "Valve, Indie, COD, CS, MMO..."

alphabetically is sufficient for me, I don't need to use categories

• Favorites
• Demos
• Finished
• Kids
• Pile Of Shame
• Games

Easy Mode:

• Singleplay - Ex. Metro 2033 / BRAID / Just Cause 2
• Multiplay - Ex. L4D2 / TF2 / CSS
• Single/Multi - Ex. Command&Conquer Tiberium Wars / Shoot Many Robots / R.U.S.E.
• DLC- Ex. Games DLC
• MODS - Ex. Black Mesa / Grey
• OTHERS - Ex. Source Filmaker, Game Guides, etc.

I sort my library like this

Mostly by retailer, 2 groups for games with Aliens and games with Zombies.

1 = In progress, games I am trying to actively play and finish. 2 = Anytime, games I can play whenever, usually because there's no major plot to remember to enjoy them (good for short play times). 3 = New, games I installed and want to play, but haven't gotten to yet. 4 = Unfinished, games I started and got some way through, but have basically abandoned for some reason. 5 = Finished, games I played through to the end. All my uninstalled games just stay in the default games category.

"Installed". Done.

Mine is getting pretty organized, I do it like this

I just did categories like RPG, MMORPG, Free, Multiplayer, etc....

I sort by the developer.

Have like 340 games I think.

I don't.

• Favorites (whatever I'm playing most at the moment)
• Betas
• Completed
• Not worth my time (tried it, didn't like it, won't play it again)
• Games (I'm ok with the alphabetical order, I don't feel the need to categorize everything)
