Reminder: Buy missing games from the Xbox 360 store before its closure

As stated last year, the Xbox 360 marketplace will close shop on July 24th, 2024.
There is an FAQ if you want to know more.

Many games in the Xbox 360 marketplace are heavily reduced due to the closure and Microsoft just published a second batch of games on sale.

I still need to dig through the list and see what all I want. Supposed to do a third batch of sales next month.

Will 360 games no longer be available for newer XBox consoles, or does this only affect those using the original hardware?
I haven't had any xbox consoles for a long time so haven't really paid attention to what's going on with the platform.

Will 360 games no longer be available for newer XBox consoles

This news does NOT affect those with a Series X/S, since only a certain number of 360 games were made backwards compatible for those consoles (approx. 580ish, but that's it). Those compatible games can still be bought in the store of the Series X/S under the "Backwards compatibility" section after the closure of the 360 store.
