You obvious aren't going to like when the bundles aren't being spammed.

I am usually above 200, when bundles happen I hit 300 all the time, its fast enough.

This would only give every other member points, not him. Definitely not what he wants. ^^

I'd be in favor of fewer points. When giveaways hit 1k entries in an hour it's ridiculous

Damn. You are right.... I'm going to get a snack now.

Really? I always thought it was the amount if giveaways being created.

The more games you own -> the less giveaways you can enter.

Or just not really give a crap about the ones currently being given away. I went from whoring out my points for whatever giveaways looked good to being much more specific about what I entered. Imagine my amazement when I realized I had tons of points because I didn't try to get something I really wasn't sure about (or didn't want). If I don't know, without a doubt, that I want something...I simply don't enter for it. Learn restraint and prioritize your wants/needs and you'll have points.

truth.. discrimination will let your points last longer. I entered everything and while I did win occasionally I was winning mostly third tier games I'd never heard of. Started focusing more and I could enter all the Ship contest for instance and hopefully my last win was for a contest I wanted to win rather than something i was just wasting.

The point of paranoid4ndroid's was never that point regeneration is based on how many games you own, but that how you spend them is based on the games owned. Having more games (particularly more games that cost 20P+ to enter) means that you won't be spending your points entering for -those- games (although the DLC is now open to enter, but that usually requires less points to enter). I was replying more to the "You would have to own almost every single game on steam for it to become noticeable." because that is only true if you enter giveaways you don't care about.
Regardless of how many games you own, being selective, prioritizing the games you want and just being mindful of both point cost and your chance to win is the only sure-fire way to help conserve points.
That or just don't log in to Steamgifts but once every day (or every other day).

... You think it slow now with all the Beat Hazard / Darwinia / Multiwinia / other bundle mass giveaway spam? Wait until there isn't a bundle to experience 'slow'. And even that isn't slow.

You do see realize that not everyone buys all the bundles right? I think that all the people in this thread claiming that they're never able to use all their points have forgotten that they've padded their steam accounts for a while now, while other people (like me) actually have a shitload of giveaways we can enter.
That being said, I actually like the way it goes now, not to many points so i can take my time to pick a decent game to aim for.
(Really looking forward to the next steam sale though, waking up to 300 points instead of 100-150 for a couple of days is fun too.)

Are you joking? If anything it's too fast. Often when there are one or more bundles/promos there's so many points being generated I don't even know what to do with them all to be quite honest, particularly when there aren't all that many giveaways for games that I would actually play.

You might want to stop entering giveaways for games you don't intend to play. Also you might consider being more polite with people who take the time to answer you, despite your post having no actual value to them.

I don't think you're in a position to say anything considering you insulted him for no reason.

Still I would consider paranoid as an insult. Or at least a not so good way to referring to someone.
I mean, that's a serious illness .. :/

But if the shoe fits...
If you're paranoid, you're paranoid. Might as well admit it and move on. Whether this is a case of poor communication with a temperamental person (very likely) or true paranoia depends on whether the OP exhibits signs of paranoia in RL. Paranoia can't be diagnosed solely via online interaction, however it should be noted that the OP doesn't handle potential confrontational circumstances well and should work on defusing the potential issue (as well as himself) by either trying to clarify or understand the issue from a different perspective. He acknowledged his poor English skills, which was probably the one thing he did right, but got insanely defensive over what should have been nothing.
Fault goes both ways, though. Instead of repeating "What?" an alternative could have been used such as "Please clarify," or something along those lines. Continuing the "What?" trend did seem to instigate, but I'm not sure that was the intent.
Also, I think this should be said somewhere: If English is not your first language and you feel that whatever you're trying to say isn't being understood, try saying it in your own language. It's not difficult to get it translated.
