CSGO items what are they and what do i do with them?

In my steam inventory it shows no CSGO items but when i loaded the game it showed me having 40 different items and i was not really sure what they were or what to do with them?

It's just the "original skins", you can hide them in your inventory ingame.. You can't trade them or anything.

Default skins, you obviously can't trade\sell them

Quick question as we're here anyway.
how the fuck does the drop system work?
I know in TF2 it's just play for 30-70 minutes, and an item drops. repeat until you hit your weekly limit (noticeable because the drops stop)
How long do I need to play CSGO to get a drop?

you get cases after matches randomly and for weapons you get a drop everytime your profile levels up once a week
