What are your thoughts on this?
If someone has a card I don't and I have a card that person doesn't, I'll probably would like to trade it, but suddenly the other person says that IF you want to trade those cards you need to give him ANOTHER card because of the price tag on the market...
IMHO a digital card is a digital card, for me at least they don't really have a price :/ Why not just trade 1:1 and make everyone happy?

1:1 won't make everyone happy, the fair price that is given by the market, and you can't change how it will be, because "the thinking" of someone that cards have to be trade 1:1 is just an opinion that no matter nothing. You can't change how economic works, first card that appeared mostly are more priced, card for rare games that only some ppl have will be more priced, etc, and every time more cards appear price go down.

1:1 makes the rarity completely pointless, which is a huge draw to card collectors...

Well, there are cards that are more rare than other. If you have common card and other person has rarer one - you will have to give more. Look at Steam market and you will see.

(sorry for my bad english)I needed 1 card for a badge.I was desperate cuz if i sold 1 faerie card of tf2 card or really big sky card because of 3 cents i couldn't have bought the card i needed,i have added a guy who had 2 of them, asking him to trade my card for his one and that it was only 3 cents less,he refused because of the 3 cents. So NO,people who gives you card 1:1 are rare, either if they have the same value,as my faerie with his super meat boy.

How about I give you a 1 dollar bill and you give me a 100 dollar bill? A paper bill is a paper bill, RIGHT?! As long as there is a market, different values matter.

I agree but only for the same game. You can't trade a 20 cent card from a bundle game that everyone has for a $1 card.

I think it's legit. If I had a card that is worth 60c and the one I want is 20c then why would I give it away? It should be equal and if some cards are more valuable than others (for whatever reason) then that's the way it is.
