If you've already pre-ordered, I see no harm to it. If you haven't pre-ordered it and just plan on buying it when it's released, I can't say that's a good idea.

well, I already did so in the past both without preorder (games were not avaiable for preorders - like FINAL FANTASY VI which only had Steam page with release day) as well as with games I preordered outside of Steam (like Street Fighter V on GMG), but even then it's basically the same - it's not gift preorder (and with new gifting system gift preorders may even be impossible due to regional pricing differences), so until release you don't know if keyseller will deliver and not for example cancel preorders (like it recently happened with Fractured But Whole). But I knew the risk in both these situations and accepted it.

minor correct - you as a winner cannot request GA deletion (if you could any rulebreaker who haven't activated their wins would just "ask to delete GA" - only person who can request GA deletion is breadman and you gotta agree to that - but your comment here should be anough for it ;) Or eventually post in GA you won you agree for deletion ;) This is all you can (and have to if you want to ofc ;p) do as a winner in this situation ;)

Well, that's awfully kind of you, but if I were really generous, I would have already given them away, instead of hoarding all that junk like so much treasure... :) Sometimes I think I'm saving them for a puzzle or a train or something, but realistically it will probably never happen... :)
And the only reason I had so many leftovers is because they were in ultra-cheap bundles, or bulk purchase things - not even some good Humble Monthly stuff... Doubt I paid more than 10 cents for any of them... :) But I hope the winners have fun playing them, guess it's possible something good slipped into a bundle by accident... :)

Well, giving away a mountain of cheap garbage in service of some other thing might happen some day, but a mountain of steamground-quality giveaways that wasn't hiding anything, just to get precious CV... Bleah. :)
Best I've been able to come up with lately, since I'm too lazy for puzzles or trains, is hiding something in a pile of carefully selected garbage keys. When it's new, people are in a mad dash to redeem keys/feed their bots, so they don't look for anything hidden. And when it's old people know the keys are all used and ignore them. :)

Let me start off by saying this entire situation is 100000% my own fault. I blame nobody other than myself and feel like an absolute piece of shit for having caused what I caused.
So about a month and a half ago I made a very long train with 200+ giveaways. Then two weeks later I made another one with 150+ giveaways. I usually bulk buy my keys from tremorgames($40 can get you 250+ steam keys). But I almost always make the giveaways before having the keys(never hurt me in the past so never thought this would happen.) So about two weeks go by in the first train and I notice that you can no longer buy tremor coins through paypal. Nor have you ever been able to use a credit card. Apparently they had problems with their paypal account but still to this day have yet to fix it. Their only form of payment they accept is bitcoin(which also doesn't work). So two weeks went by, I'm thinking I'll get the keys in time no problem. Two more weeks and the first train ends. Feel like an idiot at this point because 250+ giveaways just ended and I have no keys yet. Two more weeks go by and my second train ends, still no keys. Now we're at like a month and a half and the "mark as not received" are pouring in. I've told dozens of people to continue being patient as I will get their keys somehow, eventually.
Again, my own fault for even risking this situation to happen. I can't apologize enough to the 381 people who still don't have their keys.
If there is any positive in this mess, it's that I can now only make 5 giveaways at a time and I have learned a huge lesson.
I'm requesting for everyone to add me to their blacklist. It's the least amount of punishment I can give myself.
