Haven't patched to that update yet, and work schedule has made it hard to find the time. But the press is promising, very promising. Trouble is, pulling out the old ubiquitous level-grinding mechanic means they'll have to put in a lot of other elements to keep people playing. Here's hoping they pull it off, aye? The beta has been nothing but excellence so far, and even the bugs haven't been worse than annoyances.

Still waiting for my download to finish actually... but the tiered system of leveling sounds interesting. Reminds me of Diablo2 where you could choose the path you wanted to take and aim for certain styles of play. It's nice to see how enthusiastic the developers are about not only making the game but also interacting with their playerbase.

So they've decided to move away from levels into a "skill" system where YOU make the choices on gear etc instead of it being given to you for level increase the choice is up to you.
