before saying anything.. Mighty No. 9 is literally finished but still need some polishing and then they are ready. also, handling/production of other things like physical copy, artbook, t-shirt, shipping, and more that are not related to programming or digital involvement of the game. thats 2 months from now.

about this project, it still in planning, but think, this project takes you a month. to collect all the funding. (-1 month) assigning tasks to the staffs after successful funding. project needs money other than giving salary/wages to the staffs. game project wasn't made in just 1 click. it takes longer especially working on big scale. look at how much years they estimate it to finish on Jul 2017 (2 years). expect delay. maybe on 2018.

Former MegaMan Legends Staffs also working on this project.

The Game Kickstarter Goal: $800,000

So thats not a remake of classic megaman game ?

who said anything about a remake or cloning of megaman.it just spiritual successor, not an actually successor. Inafune would really make one if Capcom isn't in the way. megaman owned by capcom and all inafune's works are owned by capcom by contract. at least he wouldn't going to get sued by capcom because of violating the copyright.

Anime, maybe.
Game, no.

I've yet to see a producer bring forth a worthy product. It's one thing to have contacts - it is an entirely different thing to be part of team talent. I'm not convinced by anything Inafune has done. Hypocritical? Absolutely. Talented? No. Producers like him make me look up to EA - at least they get a good product out instead of releasing mediocre dreams into the sea.

Honestly, those stretch goals are lame. And the price is extreme. Inafune wants a million dollars to create a game that - apparently - doesn't have a complete storyline? There are games out there that were made on the budget of a rice patty that have brought a helluva lot more without excuses.

Denied.

A million dollars is actually a very small budget for a professional-quality game. You can make games for less, sure, but at that point you're looking at either drastically cutting the number of people involved (which means using free or very limited graphics, sound, etc; or significantly reducing the size of the game), or you're looking at a hobby project where the people involved aren't doing it full-time (so they don't have to be paid as much, or at all.)

But something intended to look like Megaman Legends is going to be expensive; 1 million is actually pretty low.

people said that please use the income of Mighty No.9. lol the money was used to make the game and your t-shirt. to do that, they may have to wait a few months to collect new income for the project. plus transitioning from one platform to another requires some works.

WTF's with the pirate torrent link to Might No. 9, the game is not freeware while it's in EA. That beta was essentially "sold" to Kickstarter backers.

This KS relies so much of Inafune's reputation. Just like Mighty No 9 that fails (will fail) to surpass Megaman. To make Megaman you need resources and assets... and only Capcom have it.

This won't end up very well. Goals will be achieved, but the end result won't be able to fulfill the expectations I say. =\

its just a spiritual successor, what people think is in their mindset this is megaman successor. people expect too much that it will be just the same as megaman, all the style and mechanism. since MML is basically made by Inafune. i know the he didnt make MM as a whole only character design and some small job assigned to him. but MML series he made it and now with MML staffs that are working on it too. i'm sure this will gonna be different. i am mostly love MML than MM or MMX. because you see i'm not too fond of side scrolling game :) maybe thats why i think when i played MN9 beta it was good and i dont expect to much out of it. but MM always the best for side scroller

My only problem with this is that he should have waited until MN9 releases, as it would've given more people a reason to trust his game studio.

got funded or not, they still going to make it. just well no bonus or extra content. a simplified one but as a backer i got the privilege to get full game in digital for $79 and fan can help mold the game or the anime. people think they can punish inafune this way but no, he's the one who punishing us. coz whose to blame if this doesnt get funded? and all this time you're doubting him and MML staffs. what if MN9 isnt what you think it would be? comparing MM or MMX with MN9 is like against MM inspiration game.

i think he just need the KS to look how the fanbase is? i guess capcom were right about not enough fanbase and yep better cancel it.

Listen, I'm saying that currently his company has no released games and the only game in development was one of the first BIG kickstarted games, as essenctially a Mega Man clone/ re-do. The game has yet to be published, but will in a few months. If he had waited until after it released, people would have a reason to trust that his studio can successfully make a good game, thus giving him more funding. Plus he should have used the Mighty No.9 Brand in the title of the game, like MML, to help the marketing and association.

that means you dont trust him and the team from very beginning. even after MML? oh yeah you must be new.
well for megaman, the game title and name are the same but Mighty No.9 , the game title and name are different. if he use Mighty No.9 then the game might includes all the mighty bosses too with same character background. this is different story unless the game is called 'beck' because it is his name. the name is unrelated with anything or at least maybe just shares the same name. and please dont make him follow the same naming shit. let it be different. this is not megaman. megaman is megaman and these are spiritual successors...

.... Dude are you kidding me? It's a god damned brand, that became huge on kickstarter. If you use the name, you gain more attention. If fucking Mega Man Legends name was "Blue blaster" or some shit and was announced right before Mega Man 1 had RELEASED, do you think it would have been remotely as successful?

And hell no I don't trust him yet, why would I? This is new studio, with untested talent, AND NO GAMES RELEASED TO THEIR NAME.

Your bullshit about how they are different games is irrelevant. Of course they are different games, but they are built around the same fucking brand. Beck and Call from Mn9.

This. My brother is a huge megaman fan and he won't put up the money for it. Inafune had a massive company behind him handling business with proven talent and now not so much. So far on his own he hasn't proven himself, with his games Soul Sacrifice being meh and his canceled-after-three-years Kaio: King of Pirates. MN9 is getting a pretty lackluster response from those who have played it. Also, $89 for a physical copy and with that poor kickstarter video? A mess.

Exactly, it's not as if I doubt the talent of Inafune, I just want to see him release at least one game before a second kickstarter for a project on a whole different level.

Woah, hold up, that's not what I was really trying to do here. All I wanted to do was to instill a little healthy bit of skepticism. This looks like an excellent product, just the timing and branding were off. All I wanted to do was slow down the hype train.
