Today I received my first trade offer.

As tempted as I was, I had to make a counter offer.

Don't fall victim to this cheap scam, help keep Steam clean (no I was not paid to say that, but I wish I was).

Then this thread is PSA for you. The text offering the money is not part of Steam's trading mechanism, it is entered by the user and can be used in this way to catch people out,

Login names aren't different here on SteamGifts, you can see that I'm MiraCZ on steam but SteamGifts show my login name here.

Is this "Steam support transfers money to your account after trade" a new scam thing? Do people really fall for this?

You must be new here. Here's a little tip for internet newcomers. People are stupid. Like... mentally handicapped have to wear a football helmet around the house stupid. And it's not just some people. It's a lot of them.

I can't wrap my head around how some people can fall for something this obvious.

Yeah... Every time I think I've finally understood just how dumb people can be, I see something that blows my mind. Sort of like the bank robber who, when his gun jammed, he looked into the barrel and tried again.
