Yes, but it's meaning is to hold up something, not to hit something upwards as the word bump means. However to be honest I have no idea what word Chinese internet users use to bump threads. You could be totally right and I'm making myself look like a complete idiot, but I think they would use "碰" for "bump" and not "頂" because it carries the connotation of hitting something. I'm Singaporean Chinese so I converse mainly in English and not in Mandarin, so I am not completely sure

You can use a dedicated group for the same purpose. You'll need to send an invite to users though, but that only adds a few clicks. I have a feeling that you're already familiar with all of these solutions and just don't consider increasing access to more users a priority, right?

How they take invites depends to a large degree on what you write on the group homepage. For example, I'm using temporary groups to deliver keys for ungiftable games, and request users to leave the group after they get the key. It took me a while to find a phrasing that works, but I pretty much have it nailed down now. For a group that serves as a whitelist you don't even have this challenge, because you don't need people to remove themselves.
If you don't like the more social aspects of groups you can just lock the comments and forum and use the group strictly as a whitelist alternative.

I don't believe in forming groups. Group giveaways are for elitists. At least you give people the illusion that they have a chance to win something when you're just using SG site options. Also, I just drop ungiftable games on the forum somewhere, because they're trash anyway.

Yes, a whitelist and invite-only groups are by nature limited to specific people, but this is exactly what can solve the issues you're complaining about. You can't have your cake and eat it. Either use the solutions that are available, or accept that the "wrong" users will win some of your giveaways.
Ungiftable games are not by any universal definition "trash" and some of them actually get played (and even reviewed) by the users who get them, at least using the system I'm using. If you just drop the keys in the forum you're frequently just feeding card farming alt-accounts. I can see how this is more convenient.

It's still really annoying when people Blacklist you and can still enter your giveaways. Even more annoying than what I was complaining about yesterday!
