Does your (or any of your friend's) cd key work also as a steam key since the game got the steamworks function or we gotta wait some other time?
I heard the keys can be activated on Steam, but not sure if I could give my key to someone else after getting it from a Steam copy.

Why make the Steam CD keys work if they don't right now? Those people already have it on Steam. Activating it would only allow people to give others a free copy.

Give it time. Took Capcom about 3 days to sort out the issues with Dead Rising 2, but now the keys work with that.
When the Batman games moved from GFWL it took like two weeks to get that sorted.

That list isn't complete. GfWL keys for this can be activated, the question is if the GfWL keys from the Steam version work, or if they get ignored while only other copies have their keys work.

GFWL keys from Steam do not work. They learned from last time I guess. (Dead Rising 2 OTR, SSFIV).
Dead Rising 2 was hit & miss, some keys would activate and some would not.
For short time, Dead Rising 2 OTR keys from Steam would activate and generate new key that activates on Steam too. (This was fixed quickly, now you get same key you used to activate with).

So RE5 got steamworks some hours ago... usually the cdkey , when redeemed , gave you a full working steam key,but this time it doesn't for me,is it the same for you or it's just a temporary bug?
