How do you like the new library?
I love it. It doesn't remove access to anything I used from the library menu, having a quick list of events and updates easily visible is very useful, and the big pretty box art encourages the part of my lizard brain that wanted to own all these games in the first place to actually consider playing them.
I do hope they will add list view and the like for people who preferred it; it's not a very big departure for those of us who used detailed view, but I can definitely see how it would be a shock otherwise.

Remember when Myspace added all the extras, ya, how did that turn out.

I like it, I have had it since the beta.
Really like that f2p games is added to library.

it doesn't matter what they change, 99% of people will complain because it's the new trend.
"always complain about something" is a way of life.
just accept it and move on, it's easier than complaining 99% of the time.
valve won't roll back their new UI because a bunch of people are crying on reddit and mini-forums like sg.

it's the new sport (new since 2012) sg residents have found.
find anything to complain about, make a thread, and jump on the bandwagon of "it makes me cool to hate something". just like film critics giving a 0/5 to movies they don't understand, and conservatives that can't stand changes.
this repeats every week/month, so we can all give our opinion on current issues that will kill gaming as we know it! (gaming as we know it = idling, trading, and organizing achievements)
just make sure your opinion is aligned to most people, or you will be tagged as a heathen. ^^

so 99% of all complaints about any product or service or issue are unfounded and only a trend?
or is it only valve that is beyond reproach and 99% of all complaints against valve are just unfounded...
perhaps its just when someone disagrees with your position, its invalid...
complaining is the voice that the masses use when they are displeased with someone or some thing. its a fallacy to believe that people complain about things they actually like or are indifferent about in the hope that they'll be removed...

If only you could read second lines, like "it's also great watching people complain because they can't stand changes." which is complaining about steamgift users as Mully always does.
Having said that, hello stalker. Still responding to others about me I see.

I said nothing about you. You're fucking delusional.
I actually opened the thread because I saw she replied. So, if anything, I'm stalking her? Lmao.
(But I'm guessing you opened the thread because you saw I replied ... so ...ummm... yeah?)
it's also great watching people complain because they can't stand changes.
I hate to break it to you, but that's not complaining, anymore than saying "I love watching people eat pie" is complaining.

Fair enough, though after it being the case last 3 times you can see why I jump to said conclusion no?
Stop stalking her then ;). And I came her since my inbox said there was a response. So... you're fucking delusional?
And you know as well as anyone Mully is always sarcastically complaining about everyone on Steamgifts (making the comment to me all the more ironic), that's pretty much every single post.
And I just have to point to her reply to LeonFowl now.

You jumping to conclusions is nothing new to me. ;)
The real irony here is you claiming she's complaining in one of the threads where she is one of the only people not complaining. She actually replied to the OP with "it's great." Just saying. I happen to like the new library as well. I get why some people don't. But why is it okay for you to remark about her "complaints", but she "complains all the time" if she remarks that others complain all the time? Just glancing through this thread, you've complained far more than she has (and she hasn't really at all)... and the same is true in the last thread in which you and I exchanged comments. Would it then be fair of me to say "all you do is complain, Hassat?" Of course not.
Even her reply to Leon is a simple observation of the whole "the end of the world as we know it" mentality certain topics attract around here. You have to admit, the levels of negativity some of these things elicit from some people is a bit over the top, considering the topics, and that can wear on some people. Personally speaking, I typically just laugh and shake my head. My day isn't going to be any better or worse because of most of this crap.
Perhaps you could lighten up a bit. Not everyone's going to agree with you, and there's no need to beat them over the head thinking they eventually will. I promise you, your day will be much better. :)

I can live with it but I miss having the option to list only the games I own and not all the games from shared library. If they fixed this, it would be more acceptable.

I loved it so much I've reverted back to the old one.
The appearance isn't great but I can get used to it - it was the lack of features which were there previously. For instance, there's now no option to toggle whether you want icons for each game in your library.
There also doesn't appear to be a way to resize the column for the list of games so when the name of a game is too long it just cuts off - unless you mouse over it and then it shows the new name and sort of pops out of the list in this really awful way. Edit - To be fair after checking you can't do it in the old library either.
On top of that is the fact that the library view now defaults to that library home screen, which has a 'What's New' row which can't really be removed unless you manually go in to ignore each update - which when you have 1000+ games is a pain as you're sure to get updates pretty regularly coming into that shelf and I can imagine it gets way worse for people who have thousands more.
A change in appearance, its something to grumble about and move on with - but losing features just sucks. There's no reason for the things I've mentioned above to not be part of the new library.

I am having issues with extreme lag, and 100% glitch, ie. if i goto store page, from my library, parts (little squares) of my library stay on screen and are on top of all other steam pages.
I also think there may be a memroy leak, as it got worse over time.

I don't like it, it's unnecessarilly huge and honestly quite ugly.
I can finally easily rename categories though, so at least it has one positive.

Not really a fan. Besides my categories getting broken, it's too cluttered for my taste. I preferred the minimalist design they had before. Plus now that I had a chance to really try it again, I'm noticing lag I never had before, and no, I'm not running it on a toaster lol...

I can search by tags instead of having to use a third party site or manually categorizing. This alone makes the new library completely worth it for me. Also I like being able to see the cover art for games I may have forgotten about without losing the library list on the left.

Reverted back to the old library myself.
+Trading cards on gamepage
+Extra search options
-Everything else
Might give it a try if they update it to be less cluttersome (no icons next to gamenames, no activityfeed in game pages and no library "main page")
Comment has been collapsed.
Well, the browser games on the left is AWESOME! easy to find games now...
but the rest is very very bad! :D
Edit: Now, you need to move the mouse to see all info in your game page, before you can see all at first look. Now, your friends activity it's more important than your activity ¿?. I want to see my achievements, DLCs, gameupdates as the main info, NOT my friends activity.

It's cute, but it took most of its new features from GOG 2.0; I beta tested both of them at the same time, and I kept seeing Steam get "new" features that had been in Galaxy 2.0. Being forced to know about updates for games I haven't played in years or what my friends are playing kinda sucks, though.

Finally having the ability to filter games by community tags is enough for me.
Although now I want ability to sort by Steam rating. I don't care if it's a bit fuzzy, having Mostly Postive games on top of Mostly Negative games would be pretty sweet.

too much useless shit.
you can turn off some of it but not the actvitiy feed. every achievement and screenshot from any friend gets displayd. who thought that would be a good idea? the idiocy...
also it doesn't remember which game i had on the screen last.
and you can't remove the fucking useless news!
long way to. really long way to go.
