I don't care about Elder Scrolls Online, I'll wait for Elder Scrolls VI.

I played the beta, It felt like just another MMO and didn't really feel like I was playing a typical Elder scrolls game at all. The graphics are okay for an MMO but not that great overall in my opinion, the trees specifically looked really bad. I honestly didn't play it that much but having 15 other people running around me doing the exact same quest I was doing was a real turn off, killed any immersion and made doing the quests seem pointless and cheap. So in that regard it just felt like the same old MMO thing that I have done before but set in the Elder Scrolls universe. Granted it was a beta and something could change like graphics or some balance and mechanics but the overall feeling I got was typical MMO level quest grinder. That being said it does not mean it is a bad game, I'm sure if i got into it I could easily sink 100's of hours into the game, but as far as being innovative, it felt like they took the safe tried and true MMO approach and It did not feel like a true TES game.
So if you are looking for Skyrim with multiplayer then you will likely be disappointed. If you are looking for WOW within the TES universe then you will likely love it. I personally tend to dislike most MMO's so this game is just not for me. Really you should just wait 3-6 months as the game will most assuredly go F2P, they want $60 plus the monthly sub fee initially to cover the cost of making the game and then will go F2P as the almost always do. That is just my guess of course but even SWTOR and LOTRO went F2P.

I see. If its not really "elder scrolls" gameplay wise then no point in me getting it. I don't like most MMOs because they feel like WoW and I hate WoW.
If what you're saying is true, I have a feeling theres going to be alot of angry gamers that purchased this game expecting an online skyrim.

I had such high hopes for this game. Compared to other MMORPG's I do like it a lot (it seems like I'm the only one at times..), but not for that price tag. I'll wait. I know there will be quite a few who will pay that, but it wont be me. After some time I guarantee you it goes F2P or subscription based. $60? No problem. $15 a month? Eh.. I'd rather not, but I would.. BOTH? HELLLLLL no.

Believe it or not, it will also feature microtransactions for "fun stuff & services". As much as I like the series, I hope this abomination fails miserably.
On the side note, I have never paid monthly subscription for any game, and I never will.

I'm giving it a pass. I will never pay for a client to pay a subscribed MMO - (see that? pay twice = Fail.) IMHO there are only 2 ways I will pay for this type of game. Either the client is free and I pay the subscription, or the client is paid for and the subscription is free.
Give it a year tops before it goes f2p.
Guild Wars pricing model FTW!

I'm still holding out for EQ Next...
Also WoW is getting even worse, not only do they charge you for the base game + every expasnion, and the subscription, now they are selling non-combat pets, mounts, and some of their best looking armor skins for even more money (you'd think that would be included in the price...but no)

The only way I would get this, is if it was a one time fee only. I don't do monthly subscriptions.

Actually I disagree. As someone who has played MMORPGs for a 6 years (since I was 12), I can tell you that that's not really true. I understand what you are trying to say, but it is wrong to say it in such a way. For example, I was playing WoW for 1 and a half year, then changed to Metin 2, which is free, and it was way different than WoW, and by that I mean better too. ESO is more like a Skyrim combined with the MMORPG style, but the Skyrim part is like 20% of the game.

NOPE
I would be ok if I had to only pay those $60... maybe... but $60+$15 a month? Not thanks, I was actually planning on getting it, but I'm not gonna pay $15 a month for something I might rarely play, and if it resembles WoW even worse, I did, I tried to get into WoW, twice, but I always end up bored, and falling asleep when playing that, and I don't feel like paying $15 to sleep lol
I'll stick with Skyrim thank you very much :)

I played beta and this game is boring.
I was waiting for this game but i wouldnt play again, even if it was free.
It's not like skyrim.
Skyrim is way better.
Nothing special or new in elder scroll online compares to other mmo.
It's like every other mmo, with less thing to do and campaign(history)is not interesting...lol
The only good thing is the graphics,it's beautiful
Btw,you need to pay the game, pay subscription and it will have markets shop with microtransaction.

Wildstar seems like the only decent competitor in MMO genre right now, it will have monthly fee but you'll be able to pay it with ingame credits (like in EVE online)

What I heard about it is that it'll be more action oriented, it's based on an original world with emphasis on story and pretty much will try to "fix" stuff that irks people about MMOs. Though I still have to give it a go (during beta tests) to figure out whether it really is a good MMO or "just another game for wasting time"

Now that I looked back on my post, it really sounds like that :D Though you're not far from truth as I did work in a videogame store for a couple of years so I tend to talk like trying to "sell" the game :D

I have no problems paying a subscription fee for a good mmorpg, I kinda prefer subscription based mmo's over the f2p or buy and play models. I have played WoW and Eve and many more before.
I was really hyped to get Elders scroll online, but after playing the beta I wont buy it. Really dissapointing. Dident bother to play beyond level 3.

I agree. I'd really like to say 3 months though, but because people are looking at the hype, lots of people will buy letting it last 6 months.

Considering I just bought Amalur ($10) and DMC ($5.50) for $15.50, and can do similar every month, there is no way a subscription like this would be worth it.
You could get 1-2 AAA or 3-5+ indie games every month for the price of this one game.

Yeh, I meant non-bundle Steam Sale indies. If you spend the $15 on only bundles then you get even more!

..UUUCK!
This looks like just about the only MMO I was interested in why do they have to be so friggin greedy?
MMOs should either have a one time purchase fee like guild wars, or have a subscription base fee, why both?
Will you buy it at this price? I don't think I will simply because this WoW payment module is pissing me off.
Anyone played the beta? Does it actually resemble skyrim and such gameplay wise?

They'll try to milk you with microtransactions too - source
TL;DR - Elder Scrolls Online will cost $60 to buy, plus $15 every month and will have microtransactions aswell.
Plus this whole 'Imperial edition' day one race DLC bullcrap, guh!
