I put off buying 2012 because I knew eventually they would release more packs and the price would go down, so I was planning to buy the bundle altogether at some point. Now 2013 is coming out and I still haven't bought 2012.
Perhaps I should just avoid the series altogether, lest I accidentally turn into a 'buy a slightly improved version of the same game every year' guy

Wait for reviews on 2013, I'd say. 2012 is fun, but it has some serious bugs in it, especially the multiplayer.

I seriously hope they'll include some "hardcode MTG player" mode, where you can do things such as manually alocating your mana, explicit stack, or building a deck from scratch (if not Constructed, then at least Sealed Deck or Drafts). Or maybe I could get back to hoping the original MicroProse version makes it to GOG. :-)

The link above says that you can manually tap your lands. So, yeah, that's one serious issue fixed already! :D

Here's some info about it for those of you that don't follow Magic news:

Found it in a search right as you replied. I was hoping it would be something intuitive or standard, but no.

It's semi-intuitive if you've ever spent time on Wikipedia or something. :P

I've spent time editing Wikis. [x] (x) is really a bit different from [x|x]. It's also very different from HTML and BBCode (which I what I had expected).

Enough of a reason for me. \o/

I admit that I found it kind of fun trying to challenge myself to make the computer tap correctly by playing things in a specific order. But yeah, I lost games to it, and I'm glad to see this finally coming.

Ah, yes, meta-gaming. :-) I think I actually prefer programs such as Magic Workstation, where you have to move and mark everything manually, but at least you can be in control of the game.

For those who did not see any videos of it too.
Wasn't there Nicol Bolas in the 2012 version?

Eh. 2012 was pretty fun, but I'm really wary of these franchises that push out a sequel every year with minimal improvements, just to make a quick buck off the fans.
Maybe I'll pick it up when it gets a good sale, but otherwise I'm not too interested.

The bad part is that you cant make your deck (you can only alter a bit the ones they give you), and they will never allow you to do that because they have Magic Online for that.
I´ll pass on this one, 2012 was fun, but this will just be the same game with slightly different decks.

1) After some search, I saw release dates for the end of this month, and for two weeks from now. Who knows which one is it going to be?
2) Who is planning on getting this one? It does not seem to have many differences from the 2012 version.
Well well well... I post this and in the same day we get the pre-purchase? D:
For those who did not see the pop-up.
10 dollars, 9 euros, or +10 on any of those for the special edition. Any additional thoughts?
You can also get the 2012 version 50% off in this midweek madness.
