So I was just looking up random things like always and for some reason I got to remembering some old fighting games I haven't seen in a LONG time.

So I thought I'd ask. What games would you like to see make a comeback as a new game? Or even as an HD remake.

I know this has been discussed in the past but I haven't seen this in some time and I know there are some games we would have thought of later on and didn't want to necro an old topic.

Some I'd like to see are-Gunman Chronicles. I'd LOVE to see another adventure as I LOVED this game back in the day.
I know almost EVERYONE is going to say Skies of Arcadia and I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree 100%.
Battle Arena Toshinden. I loved this franchise and this is what got me thinking of this topic. This and also the Bloody Roar games too.
And while we are at it, maybe the Rival Schools games too.
One more I want to see is the Gigawing games make a return. I have the first on steam but the second, a MASSIVE favorite of mine, is still in limbo.

So, what games would you, the denizens of SG, love to see make a comeback?

Also, a couple of GA's hidden behind my favorite thing - jidigies.

I'm not sure if this can be considered as a comeback as the franchise is still active (and profitable), but I'd like to see the Forza franchise return to glory.
Forza Horizon 5 is in less shambles than Forza Motorsport, but both aren't nice. When I got the opportunity to have FH4 I moved to that. FH5s world starts to get bland after playing for prolonged time (unironically took me 420h to snap into reality), the competitive scene is dominated by people who have strong connections with employees at Playground Games therefore they are very rigged, cheating isn't rare and most importantly for a racing game of this size, they don't listen to the community (for ex: they had an entire season about cheap electric Chinese cars that no one asked for, refused to fix bugs that were known for prolonged periods of time). The game has taken a turn making it feel like a mobile game, being able to purchase vouchers to skip grinding for cars and adding a DLC pack with what feels like every in game series (which premium edition users don't get even though we were promised to get all future ones!!!!).
Maybe we can return to glory days, when it was much simpler and when the games were made by people who were passionate about cars (FH1, 2, 3, maybe 4 depending on your definition, FM4, FM3).

This is how I feel with most long running franchises. But your comment also makes we want to dust off my 360 and play some FH1. 😄

NFS Most Wanted Black Edition 2005. And Galaga.

Edit: I put again 2010 instead of 2005. Dunno why. Fixed.

Anybody here play the Resistance series on Playstation? I love 'em all (I never played Burning Skies on the Vita though), and I pine to see a new one, or at the very least a remastered trilogy. As more time passes though, I realize it's probably never going to happen. At one point, Sony reclaimed the trademark, which got some hopes up, but that was years ago now.

Not big on first person shooters, but I played the third one, and had a great time. I especially liked the weapon variety and how impactful the shotguns felt. With all the remakes and remasters happeneing, a remake package like the Uncharted trilogy could be cool, even if they don't do a new entry. It would also be a good way to gauge interest in the franchise.

3rd one is definitely great! Not my favorite due to nostalgia reasons, but it's surely the most well-oiled and action-packed out of the bunch. 2nd one has a great shotgun too, and some really good atmosphere (downright creepy/dark at times). You should give the others a try if you're ever wanting something a bit different. First one has some weird controls, and the 2nd lost itself a bit trying to copy popular military shooters of the day, but they're still a fun time.

Black & White or a similar-style RTS/god game.

A good Godzilla game (and not necessarily an arena brawler).

Unfortunately the studio that made Twisted Metal shut down more than 20 years ago. Gas Guzzlers Extreme is probably the closest thing we have on Steam...

But, hey, we do have a Twisted Metal TV series...

Sly Cooper 🦝 I know that Sucker Punch abandoned the franchise for good, but I still have hope... like a fool.

I know it won't happen, but a LA Noire 2 with one of Cole Phelps' daughters would be really cool.
