I want a new Mirror's Edge. Replayed the first game a few days ago and it's still great, Catalyst was ok but I want a new one in the style of the first with bespoke linear levels and none of that skill-tree nonsense.
And since we're dreaming about almost impossible wishes I'd love to see a new Outrun game, or just a modern re-release of Outrun 2. And Portal 3 if Valve ever figures out how to count to 3.

Today I was just thinking of The Bard's Tale from 2004. Although all the gags about RPG conventions of the day don't make much sense anymore it's still a pretty enjoyable game, and it would be nice to have a modern rework with the rough edges smoothed out.

i loved star tropics as a kid. i remember not liking the sequel as much , but i always wondered why they just let the ip die after that. would be cool to see something new come from it.

Bloody Roar. The second one was one of the first games I played in the PSX and it was fantastic.

Test Drive 6 (highly unlikely since it was from )
Robot Roller-Derby Disco Dodgeball (dead multiplayer)

It's a bit old but I'd really love to see either a new or modern remake Heretic game (and Hexen to a lesser extent). When Heretic came out it was such a breath of fresh air for me, so different from a lot of the other fps games of the day.
And I suppose it's too much to still hope for System Shock 3 ☹️.

I never really looked into this game before, and only just now realised it is made by the same devs that made V:tM Bloodlines. That really makes me want to check it out. It has an awesome technology vs magic setting, has that true classic crpg design, and if it is of comparable quality to Bloodlines, I think I could really love the game.
Clearly the unoficial Arcanum patch is a must (like with Bloodlines), but any other recommendations, for a first time player if I end up picking it up?

Agreed on this, and I'd add Temple of Elemental Evil. Troika made great games, or games that would have been great if only they worked! Fan patches are good and all, but I'd like to play the game from the devs directly. As you say, out of the box.

I did make a comment earlier but I just had a memory spark awaken me, I would love an Overlord 3 game, but its so painful because I've not heard of anything in a long time, and EA has codemasters so unless EA pulls a rare W, overlord 3 will not come to fruition or flop terribly

It would have been the Suikoden franchise as the top pick for me but with Eiyuden coming out later this month we actually have hope for a true successor.
Barring that then an actual remake of The Legend of Dragoon(random encounters begone!) or even a new one.

Adding in another that just now came to mind - the Fable franchise. Like a Fable 3 that doesn't force me to use that old Games for Windows Live so I can actually PLAY the damned thing.
And maybe a Fable 4.

I loved Bloody Roar back then, too! I only knew Tekken 3 which was aweseom but BR just had its own style because of the transformations.
I also adored a PS2 game called Chaos Legion which had its hack n slay mechanics but you could also summon seven different legions and upgrade them individualy.
A sequel would be awesome but it did not get much recognition and did not sell well.
Jak & Dexter could also use a Reboot!

Oh yeah Battle Arena Toshinden and Bloody Roar were awesome!
I'd love to see new Road Rash
Team Buddies
The Unholy War
Tombi

My answer continues to be Black & White (but not under EA's corrupting thumb).

So I was just looking up random things like always and for some reason I got to remembering some old fighting games I haven't seen in a LONG time.
So I thought I'd ask. What games would you like to see make a comeback as a new game? Or even as an HD remake.
I know this has been discussed in the past but I haven't seen this in some time and I know there are some games we would have thought of later on and didn't want to necro an old topic.
Some I'd like to see are-Gunman Chronicles. I'd LOVE to see another adventure as I LOVED this game back in the day.
I know almost EVERYONE is going to say Skies of Arcadia and I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree 100%.
Battle Arena Toshinden. I loved this franchise and this is what got me thinking of this topic. This and also the Bloody Roar games too.
And while we are at it, maybe the Rival Schools games too.
One more I want to see is the Gigawing games make a return. I have the first on steam but the second, a MASSIVE favorite of mine, is still in limbo.
So, what games would you, the denizens of SG, love to see make a comeback?
Also, a couple of GA's hidden behind my favorite thing - jidigies.
