I was thinking about doing some reviews and gaming videos just as a little project, is there any specific that would be quite popular or anythingi should avoid,

thanks and all opinions welcome

Don't. If you wanted to do it because you'll enjoy it, then do it with the games that you like. If you're asking about what's popular it sounds like you're just trying to jump into the youtuber bandwagon.

if that was the case id just search on youtube an mimic what everyone is doing already, the thing i was asking was opinion of what people do and do not like in videos,

I haven't seen any videos where they do that instead of speaking, but it sounds awful. I personally enjoy a video more if the important thing is the game itself instead of the person playing it. I preffer watching a good player that occasionally comments something related to the game and makes you feel that he's playing it cause he likes it over the typical youtuber who's constantly blabbering and screaming even during dialogue cause he knows people don't care which game he's playing. But I haven't really found many that fit in the first group.
