Magicka: Vietnam
I've bought many stupid, even bad games on Steam (Duke Nukem Forever... even Revelations 2012), but I knew they were bad. Magicka Vietnam... well, it looked like a cool, small DLC to a cool game.... well, it was small, that's for sure - 2 not so original levels, hit and miss humour and a bunch of weapons - wasn't worth the money.
Eventually GTA IV.

True, mostly when I get a game I want to have all of the DLC's too, recently I brought Magicka too and the DLC's were seducing me to buy them but I still didn't buy them after I realise it's just few newer things. However I always buy Killing Floor's DLC's :D

All in good taste until that 6 year old vietcong boy carrying a magic missile blows half your squad up

ARMA 2, not because it's bad, it's just my computer can barely run it on minimum.

Red Orchestra 2.
Since the beta there were some serious issues, which we were all hoping would get fixed soon enough (that, with the inclusion of actual servers that could handle 64 players), unfortunately these horrible mistakes/bugs were not fixed by the game launch, nor by the week, nor by the month. Being my first preorder, i gave it the benefit of the doubt, now i've learned from my mistake.

Sanctum or Magicka. Sanctum is just really, really drab and boring compared to any other TD game. Magicka could have been fun but grouping with anyone in MP is just a bunch of people 1000x farther than I am so new players are just dead weight.

This has to be one of the most retarded explanations I've ever read. And to answer your question, a fuckload of people do, seeing that it has sold over 700k copies.
Sure everyone can have their own opinions but regretting buying a game because it's flash? What the fuck is wrong with people?

BOI is probably best flash game i've ever played ,i don't regret a penny spent on it

you sure? I may give the game another shot iono :/

Definitely do play it with friends if you give it another shot. If you get around to messing with the game and looking for neat ways to screw with your friends, the game goes from being sort of okay to hilarious.

great game, not for everyone but great game. You have to keep in mind it's the first game of an indie studio.

Wish I could go back in time so I don't waste my money on Terraria. Yes, I simply hate it, boring and pointless farming with no objectives or story. Just sandbox mode, boring as fuck.

really? if u play with 2-3 people it becomes incredibly fun. I wasted a good 45 hrs on that game hahah

In fact I actually did that, never played alone, 6 hrs on multiplayer and still I could never find the fun factor in farming all the fucking day to build some crap building

Definitely Brink. And I made it even worse when buying all DLC...

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (all three) don't get me wrong I love the games (most of my hours were clocked in offline) its just the last time I played SOC it melted my video card to my motherboard because it was driving my GPU up to 100% on the freaking menu alone.

Dungeons of Dredmor. Not because the game isn't good (it's great), but because it came out on Desura later so I wish I had waited.

90% of what I've bought from the sales because I have so many that I haven't even downloaded ever let alone played and then watched most of them go on sale for a fraction of what I paid for them on sale.

My most regretful purchase from Steam is buying "Trackmania United Forever Star Edition" for £19,99 when there's a free version of the game available.
What's your most regretful purchase and why?
