I actually never managed to play them as a kid. My cousin had some of the old ones among his collection of shareware floppy discs but the one I tried had some sort of wierd age verification (or maybe DRM) where you had to answer questions in english (probably pop culture or maybe general knowledge) before you could play - and as a kid I never made it past those π
I suppose the answers would have been in the manual (just like that encryption dial from Fate of Atlantis) but I don't think he had that.

LOL, thanks for reminder :) This age verification took me lots of time and retries to get answers right enough :D I think first part of Larry I was able to buy legally, with manual and whole box, was Larry 5. And all this wondering, where the hell was 4th part? :D As much as it wasn't really game for kids, Larry (and all Police and King's Quests, Indy adventures) were big part of my childhood and young years :)
