Happy Cake Day! Hopefully, all goes well with that novel. It's been one heck of a year for everybody but I'm glad to hear of some silver linings to liven things up. May 2021 bring you greater things!

Welp, it's official. It's my first cakeday here on SG.
I stumbled across the site by accident last year and thought user oriented giveaways could be a pretty neat idea, so I created an account of course. I've mostly lurked rather than engaged as a whole, although, there were some exceptions such as showing gratitude or jumping into a topic I could relate with on occasion. It's been fairly chill and I enjoy seeing the discussions and events that take place here.
I think most can likely agree it's been a crazy year for various reasons. I myself lost a furry friend(profile pic) to a mix of pancreatitis and a tumor early this year. My other furry friend had a blood clot that reduced her kidney function to about 20% only a few months later. As someone that gets deeply attached to their animal friends and with the stressors of the pandemic madness mixed in, things have been a drag for me this year. Being able to participate in giving has been a sort of uplifting experience for me personally. Enough of the sob story though, right.
With that said, not all is bad. I work as a care provider and I can confidently say my clients and I are staying safe, secure, and healthy. I've got a new fluff-ball named Jack, who is a bit of a handful but quite lovable. I've also reconciled with some family who I never thought I'd connect with again too. The times really shape events in the strangest of ways.
I've also taken up writing. I've written on and off as a hobby over the years but never much more than that. It's a ton of work but I do quite enjoy the process. I've finally decided to attempt writing a novel - included in this attempt is to have it fully written, proofread, and published by 2022. What can I say? I want to be the first author in the family, even if it doesn't become a bestseller haha. I've got a few chapters pumped out so far but nothing ready to be consumed yet. It's a fantasy novel with a 'War of the Worlds' vibe but the idea is even more desolate and dreary. Hopefully next year I may have something to share with the community, more than a few games at least!
Games? Did he say games?! Yes, you read that correctly. After being subjected to my monologue I think you deserve a few GA's. It's not much but I'll be adding a small train for your time here shortly. Mostly bundled goods but perhaps something will catch your fancy. You will need to answer a horribly difficult question before gaining access though! Giveaways require contributor level 1 and end on December 6th, at 7:00pm PT. Thanks for reading and I hope you're all staying safe and well.

Hint: 1st cake is cool and all but, ___
Thanks for all the well wishes and encouragement~ I may not get a chance to respond to everyone but I am reading the replies.
Feel free to drop a bump if you're so inclined.
