Hi, I read this rule. I don't quite understand why it's related to the event. Especially as I could easily fake the playing time and achievement. I only have 8 wins and I don't want to play them in the near future, the alternatives in my library are just better than that. So do you stick rigidly to this rule or do you also make an exception?

well, you can join whenever you want, if you meet the requirements. Next cycle starts at the end of this month.
Yes. It's part of the "game". You pick games for some people and some people will pick games for you. It's a way to get you to try new things that you wouldn't otherwise.

Hey, I am interested.
But first I would like to know a few things:
- Is it possible to people to pick F2P games too? I believe I have some just for the sake of having them.
- The rules state that we may ask to refrain from picking "unfinished episodic games". What does that mean? Can I ask to refrain from picking a game that is story driven and part of a series but I don't yet own the whole series?
- How do you evaluate games without any ending?

1) Usually no. Most F2P games have no clear ending.
2) There was a time when there were a lot of episodic games coming out every mont like telltale games and sometimes the first episode was free or could be bought separately resulting in a lot of people with 1/5 of a game in their steam library. Other than that, sometimes these games would time years and years to release the last episode like Kentucky Route Zero. That rule is just to avoid all of that.
3) It's hard, especially for genres like roguelike, but usually point to the lack of a ending/credits scene as an indication that the game has no ending.
I gotta say though, none of these rules are set in stone. It's more like a guideline to avoid huge discrepancies.

FAQ
Q: Do I have to play 7 games every cycle?
A: NO! The more the merrier, but just finishing two is enough to complete the "challenge"!
Q: Do I have to participate every cycle?
A: No. You can take a break whenever you want, just don't sign up before the next picking phase starts. However, you must participate in at least, 2 out of 4 cycles in a year.
Q: Why is BLAEO mandatory?
A: It makes picking a LOT easier. As you can see here
Q: Why do I need to have played at least 10% of my wins OR a total of 40 games played?
A: We must see that you're serious into playing your games, not just joining because of GAs.
Our group was inspired by both the old PoP events at Quips/Beardtopia.
