Do you identify as an Otaku?
Otaku is such an outdated term, man. I don't watch anime anymore but might've been considered one like fifteen years ago? Thought Cowboy Bebop was the end all and be all, nothing could compare. Used to consume an insane amount of scanlations of complete series that had yet to be translated by the Tokyopop machine, also.
Longest I've stayed awake is I think 72 hours? No walls bleeding, but I thought sitting cross-legged on the floor in the middle of Super Walmart's produce section singing a jazzy capella rendition of Beastie Boys' "Intergalactic" was a good idea, so deffo wasn't in my right mind at the end of it.

Used to stay up for several days at a time in college (working and schooling ... and partying...), but these days I gotta get at least a little sleep. I'm a night-owl, though, and I'm usually up until 6am since I typically work nights. No bleeding walls, though. O.o

I'm not that obsessed with anime, but I like manga, japanese, japan, japan streams, asian tv series and shows, anime, visual novels, computers and nerdy stuff most people hate to do unless they have to, like math, watching online lectures and documentaries, solving puzzles, setting up new stuff, spending a lot of time on technical details, etc.. I guess I'd pass as an otaku according to some people but I think I'm not hardcore enough :D
Hmm, I don't like sleeping a lot, personally I think sleeping is a waste of time you are literally wasting your life doing nothing while sleeping, I'm also a night person... I think "see the wall bleeding" must be related to side effects of sleep deprivation. Personally I stayed awake for more than 24 hours a lot of times and more than 2 days a few times but haven't experienced illusions or hallucinations.
According to some random site I found from googling Major Cognitive Deficits and Hallucinations are what you experience after 72 hours without sleep, I have never stayed awake that long but they seem to be pretty accurate I've experienced everything they list under 24, 36, 48 hours categories.
In addition to that, I remember an old tv show where people had to touch the car as long as they could, and the last one standing won the car. A lot of people saw hallucinations and suffered from sleep deprivation side effects in that show every single time without any exceptions...
"see the wall bleeding"
I guess if we go beyond 72 hours it is almost sure to happen...

I'm a night owl still. My record without sleep is over 3 days many years ago. Cocaine is a hell of a drug.

No wall bleeding here, but I'm usually in a really good mood on the second day without sleep, so I sometimes do that on purpose. I can also focus a whole lot better, so it's almost a habit at this point.
That first day without sleep though...

I think you meant weeb, not otaku - With that said, I don't know but probably not (depending on your exact definition). I've watched anime in the past, not much anymore (I'm honestly just waiting for Steins;Gate 0 so I can binge-watch). I play weeb games but I play all kind of games - I don't specifically play them for the weebiness involved. I read VNs, but not just the ones of Japanese Origin - I've read far more Western VNs than Eastern.
So by that analysis... I don't think I'm an weeb, since if I recall correctly it involves being obsessed with all things anime.
If, however, you definition of "weeb" is the act of EVER even TOUCHING anything kinda anime-like (which seems to be the trend, as of the past few years), then yes. I am.
As for going to bed late, I think worse I've done was 5:30am when I had a deadline on a project. Got up at 9am and finished it in time. Was fun. I almost died. Not really

Thank you and bump :) used to work at a donut shop so I'd have to go to bed around 8-8:30pm. Now, I usually am in bed around 2am lol

Once, when I was a lot younger, I stayed up for almost 120 hours straight (5 days). Near the end, I had no appetite and I seemed like I was in a haze. I went to sleep after that and slept for almost a full day without even waking up to go to the bathroom. It was the deepest sleep I've ever had.
There weren't any outside factors for me staying up for such a long period, I was just young and thought I could do it. The first day I did two shifts at work, and then the next day was the birthday of my roommate. After that, I just did it to see how long I could do it. I could never do anything like that now (I'm going to be 45 in June). I think the longest I could stay up now would be a day, maybe a day and a half. I feel like crap around 18 hours up, so I tend to hit the hay by then.

As i was ~20-25 years younger 3 days without sleep was a normal weekend :-D. I had weeks with more then 72hours awake but how much exactly i can't remember (i think 4-5 days). Too long ago.
Never had any "hallucinations". Never seen walls bleeding.
The only things i remember is that i done, at the last day, all slower and my brain acting very slow too (like a zombie^^).

I stay up until 1 AM, work is making me really tired. Never heard of this wall bleeding stuff. O_O

I'm no otaku (I'm not obsessed with anything) and no weeb either though I enjoy manga, VNs, anime and JRPGs. But I only read/watch what my Crunchyroll subscription gives me access to.
As to the second question, I've only ever gone without sleep for 3 days once and I'll never do that again. Recovery is too long. These days, I usually go to bed between 11 and midnight. I've come to hate feeling tired in the morning.

I don't think I've heard anyone calling themselves an otaku these days. Most people seem to prefer the term "weeb", and I'm definitely one of them.
I love watching anime and reading visual novels, but I'm not obsessed to the point where I miss out on sleep.

Otaku? Nah. Weeb? Nope. Anime fan? Oh, yes. :P
I've stayed awake up to forty hours or so when I was in uni. I'm fairly positive I didn't see the walls bleed (actually how does that even work? o_O), but it felt so awful I said "never again", and I've kept my word on that ever since. The most I've ever been awake since that one time has been a bit under 30 hours, but these days I try (and mostly fail, lol) to have a normal (or at least normal-ish) sleep schedule.
Thanks for the train. ;)

Congratulations, you are a loser. Here's a bundle train for you: clicky
(Question of the day: How long do you stay up at night? Have you ever stayed awake so much you see the wall bleeding? I never experienced it myself but I saw some people online say they did and was curious.)
