This is a gift copy of the game direct from Steam, not IGN Prime or Indie Royale.
This game is far better with friends, or at least some form of consistent grouping. Therefore I would like to add the winner as a friend for the sake of playing the game. --This is NOT a requirement to enter or win the giveaway, by any means.--

@jaybud4:
When your giveaway is deleted, the immediate course of action should be to ask someone in position "Why?" and not to make it again. It was deleted because it is part of the current ongoing IndieRoyale.

Just to get the record straight, here's some relevant dates.
April 30 - Creation/start date of the original giveaway.
May 1 - IGN Prime releases DD.
May 3 - Indie Royale May Hurray opens, including DD.
May 4 - The original giveaway was set to end, but obviously it never reached this point.
I logged in on the fourth to check who the winner was, and there was no winner to be found. The giveaway was completely gone.
Tell me I should have sent a ticket asking them why they deleted my giveaway all you want, I'll rebuke it every time asking why on earth they couldn't have just notified me of the reason in the first place.
Are there really that many rule-breaking giveaways that the admins can't take a couple extra seconds on each one to provide a reason?
(Or, and this is an absolutely terrifying thought for me as a web designer by trade, does the system not support notifying the users of their giveaways being deleted?)
Look, I'm trying to be rational and reasonable here. Re-creating the giveaway like this wasn't the best course of action on my part after the initial deletion. I won't deny that. There's no reason it (or a ticket, the appropriate response) should have been necessary in the first place, though. The actual deletion comes down to some truly unfortunate timing. That's all.
TL;DR: This giveaway is the incorrect response on my part to a situation that could have been handled better by SG.
With that all said, unless this giveaway gets deleted too, due either to the original issue of Indie Royale or all of this back-and-forth, perhaps it's time we move on?

I'm sorry if I sounded too accusatory. I am, and was, aware that the deletion of the first was due to bad timing. This has happened before and is not your fault or the sites.
The site unfortunately has only one moderator who does all the work. Probably much more work than I can imagine. And as far as I know there is no messaging system, the site is still having features put in. So short of being approached on Steam to inform you, I don't think there was a way of letting you know.
Please don't take all this the wrong way. I was trying to help, maybe I could have been more polite myself.

Huh. IGN Prime put DD up the day after I started the first giveaway.
We sure have some trigger-happy admins if that's the reason it vanished.

Our policy is to not submit games that are currently part of any bundle while it's on sale. I appreciate you obviously checking our FAQ while remaining rational without insulting SteamGifts staff.
Submitting Bundles
But you already knew that, obviously, because you read the FAQ instead of recreating your giveaway before checking the FAQ why it might have been removed. Thanks.
Also, your inventory was and is private. So, it wasn't obvious that you have it in your inventory. Thanks again.

Ah, I see -- when they separated the gift inventory out from everything else, they added a flag to keep it private, which defaults to true even if the global inventory setting is public.
My inventory was -supposed- to be public, and now it should be.
I guess it comes down to crazy coincidence. Good to see an official response, though.
