Casino Royale is the only movie that I remember was made in 2006. It's also a great movie, so I'll say that.

GTA: Vice City Stories is my 2006 GOTY
And Borat is my favourite film from 2006.

*quick google search* Ooh, Pan's Labyrinth was good. Creepy, but good. I also used to like Pirates of the Caribbean, before Johhny Depp turned out to be a domestic abuser :/ Happy Feet was kinda enjoyable too, as far as children's movies go. And I love pretty much all X-Men movies :) (ok not the weird one with the samurai robot xd)

At that time I got hooked on TV shows, one of the first was Dexter. Very impressed

"The Illusionist" very good movie.

I will join a few people above and say that the best from 2006 is probably Little Miss Sunshine.

The Prestige maybe, but it is kinda sad

The Departed has a pretty good story.

Was a pretty good year... 300, The Prestige, The Departed, Casino Royale, Pan's Labyrinth, The Lives of Others... but my favourite from that year is Children of Men ^^

The Departed is my pick. The Prestige would come second. And "Little miss sunshine" in third place.
