It's been a while since I've done a public giveaway. In that time, I've won some public giveaways (including contributor public giveaways), my most recent win being for Children of the Nile: Alexandria, but the main reason I decided to make this public is because I wasn't sure which group to pick. (However, hopefully all of the people interested in this game from the potential groups I was considering will find this giveaway and still enter.)

As for the game itself, Metro 2033 is a first-person shooter and survival-horror game based on the novel of the same title by Dmitry Glukhovsky. The game takes place in post-apocalyptic Moscow, chiefly in the metro stations of 2033 which are basically the last bastions of humanity following a devastating nuclear war which has left the world a mostly uninhabitable place. As a result of radioactive fallout, non-subterranean dwellers (both human and creature) have mutated into monstrosities known as "Dark Ones". In addition to these dangers, political factions have developed within different regions of the metro system which are hostile to one another. As a survival game, the player must constantly scavenge for supplies: everything from ammunition to air filters to gas masks. Since pre-war military-grade ammunition is the standard currency that can be traded in at a metro for various items, it is common to use post-war low-quality ammunition in one's weapons so as to not waste "money".
