Not a franchise, but there's an old game that I want to se remade with Bethesda's engine... Albion, by BlueByte in the 90's. What a beautiful piece. Think the movie AVATAR, but with celts, a plot and the aliens aren't blue.

Zoids. Especially the Zoids Vs. Series. Though the only one of those that came to NA was Zoids Vs. 2 ("Zoids Battle Legends" here). It's so much fun, though, I think Zoids is dead, though, idk...

I want a Bastion sequel, personally. It's not really a franchise but it's the best game I've played in ages, and the other game by the same company has a different style.

I would love for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series to have a resurgence, but since the devs have moved on to F2P games, so it's unlikely. Who knows though, maybe someone else will buy the franchise.

Mostly strategy game series, such as Warcraft, Age of Empires & Empire Earth.

Maybe not as dormant as some, but Splinter Cell. Especially if they ditched that attempted re-boot, with the 20 year old Sam Fisher and brought back Michael Ironside.

Fisher being old was, for some ineffable reason, one of the best things about classic Splinter Cell games.

Also: Front Mission ( ignore Evolved. Doesn't count )
