For European players Chrono Cross might be unknown - a great sequel of a great game which is Chrono Trigger. US-import only though.
For PS2/3 Okami (HD). Freak Out (or Stretch Panic) is weird but one might enjoy it.
I liked Ecco the Dolphin on PS2 although it's not easy to get used to controls.
Project Zero (Fatal Frame) trilogy is a great series of horrors.
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 1&2 was a very nice H&S which I recommend both in single and coop.
Black - a shooter that is quite known but I'll put it here anyway.
God Hand - just watch the trailers to check out the fighting style in this game.
Rygar: The Legendary Adventure - slasher repetitive at the beginning but enjoyable later on.
Serious Sam: Next Encounter - some might not know that there is another instance of this series.
Way of the Samurai 1&2 if you want to enjoy short highly non-linear paths of a samurai.
Rule of Rose - a horror which is very hard to get (hence expensive). One might want to wait for a possible HD remaster on PS4 to pay less.
Rogue Galaxy - already remastered on PS4.
Dark Cloud 1&2 (or Dark Chronicle for the sequel) - already remastered on PS4.
