X-com apocalypse is a pretty old game, but probably my favorite of entire series (including the new one). Insteand of a whole world, which is big, but faceless, you, due to lore reasons, work insite a future city of Megapolis, and fight off invaders, that come not from the stars, but from another dimension, and they are unlike those you have faced before. As reborn X-com initiative, you're now just another organisationinside Megapolis'es system, you have to balance your humanity-having quest and relations with another organisations. Weapon traders, police, social movements, religious cults and bandits - you'll have all sort of people to deal with, while looking for weird and dangerous aliens.
