I'd be fine with the checks but the extra site, extra login, data, fuss..whatever.. I managed to stay out of it until now and missed a lot of giveaways but you make choices..
I've only used it once or twice before myself, and haven't been a fan of it. But after this and the last puzzle I think I'm gonna use it more regularly for my puzzles. Helps a lot catching cheaters, and not just people bypassing sgtools, but gives you logs for when people access different parts of the puzzle and so on, which means you can see if someone went through something way too quick or collaborate with time stamps from other sites to see who posted something anonymously, and such.
It'd be a pity to abstain from your interesting adventures in puzzling but one choses one's path I suppose..
Or maybe I could still enter the first few steps. Nevertheless they were most interesting most of the time ;)
