Aha, interesting... :) I know a lot of people made TF2 idling accounts in the old days, but last I heard you have to play to get item drops now... :) I had one for family to play on but now that everyone's got their own Steam account I just dump bundle leftovers on it. I'm sure there are professional idlers raking in the pennies with their vast collection of accounts, though... :)
I remember making one for Gone Home, don't know that the game was so amazing but I was happy people were making that sort of thing, and not just cloning the popular zombie/fps/moba/survival/whatever. :)
Hmm, clicking the Community Hub button shows "Community content for this product may not be appropriate for all ages, or may not be appropriate for viewing at work." So maybe there's a secret boobie patch or something, although I didn't notice anything suspicious on the screenshots...

I've actually had Kindred Spirits in my wishlist before, but I removed it because I prefer to buy games that I can play on SteamOS. That being said, if it's on sale for the right price, I might get it anyway. So, back on the wishlist it goes!

Same as pete, I don't have a second account i use to farm. so a a lot of money out of pocket for those badges. My philosophy is more geared crafting badges for games I love as opposed to just leveling up as fast as I can.

Unfortunately, I don't have a second account, too =) I almost stopped crafting badges now (one badge in 2-3 months, maybe), but I've paid more or less for all of the badges I have. I've made two of them level 5 (Half-Life 2 and The Walking Dead), and even crafted one foil badge for Ether One to show my love for those games (and I loved how the badges look, too) =)

I kept trying to play Half-Life 2, but kept getting motion sickness and giving up. :( And trying again and giving up again... :( Was somewhere on a hovercraft, I think. Probably didn't even get to the good stuff... :( Walking Dead, think I played an hour or two and forgot about it. :( And I don't recognise Ether One at all, typical...

I figured the "red herring" was something Valve created after the fact, i.e. once they saw so many people trying to find something that didn't exist, they felt sorry for everyone and gave them something to find... :)

A few games but The Typing of The Dead: Overkill, Saints Row IV, Democracy 3 and This War of Mine are the only ones I've taken to lvl 5 with real money. I usually just sell my cards and craft those that are not worth the effort selling (typically anything were the set is below 0.10$ per card).

I assume the reason Valve didn't make a single "sell all this crap" button is everyone would click it and stop making badges... :) It's easier to make a badge than sell all the crap cards for it... :) Oh well... :)

I've spent money on any badge that is close to completion. More than I'd like to admit. I may have spent slightly more are some of my favorite games (Half-Life 2,The Witcher 3 and BioShock Infinite).
And I fail to see how multiple accounts are allowed when people can exploit the economy like that. But w/e, Valve makes money regardless so they wouldn't give a damn. I only have 1 account.

I was going to get the Dark Souls 3 badge, but after looking at the prices I decided there's no reason to rush... :) Stuff will always get cheaper when the price of the game goes down... And maybe I'll get a booster pack and not need to buy anything... :) Guess I'm just a cheapskate... :)
I'm fairly sure multiple Steam accounts are not allowed... I seem to remember Valve having rules about one account per person, but I can't remember where I read it.: ( Now that you mention it, one clown was recently community banned for using his 500 bot army to boost greenlight games and write positive "reviews" when they were in the store. All for a nominal fee, of course... :) Oops. :)
Yeah, I assume that's Valve's opinion, you can't get card drops without paying money, so they win either way. :) You'll need a mountain of leftover bundle keys to break even, and your profit is all in trading cards... :) Easier to get a job and buy the cards you need... :)

I think it might be interesting if you could show a lower level badge, in case you like that one better. For some reason I thought "A guy who knows a guy who knows Geralt" was the best description. :) Some guy just repeating a story he heard from a friend, who never even saw it, but heard it from someone else, who invented the whole thing. And Geralt was never even there... :) Sounded just like something from the books... :)

I've spent like $5 extra for exactly 2 badges that I really wanted. 75% was for Transistor to lvl 5 and the rest for the foil badge of Pixel Heroes that I have on top of my profile :3

Agggg I need level 5 (again xD but thanks for the game anyway ^^) and I just make budgets for the games I really like (3 of them in foil) with my money ^^ and other 5 or 6 because I have luck and I could open a free boosterpack. I like VN because are so good games for a boring afternoon. The sad story of Emmeline Burns it's a free VN and it's nice <3 (and yuri too. I really enjoy VN yuri, read someting yuri with a nice OST and a good story and art is asjfhsjldfhkl ^)

It seems when I make lower-level giveaways there are more generic comments like "Thanks for this!" which always makes me think it's written by a script, and the person doesn't even know what game he's trying to win... Like with questions in the description, the answer doesn't really matter so much, mainly I'm curious "Hey, you entered this giveaway, do you even know what it is?" :) I suspect many people would take their points back if they did... :)

Ohhh Kindred Spirits ♥ I bought it in the beginig because a friend have a korean trader. I paid 21€ and I start to make booster pakcs with gems. I gain like 17€ or more xDDD so I can say that game was free for me. It's a incredible game _ but I think you need so much hours if you want enjoy it. For this, I need play it again xD overprice? a little. I think 25€ it's enought (It's a good game so I think it cost more than 20€) but you see Clannad (46€) and you cry xDDD

I don't have an alt account, but I heard somewhere that it's not too hard to get to level 5 if you fulfill the conditions for the 'Community Leader' badge. Then you just fill your alt with bundle garbage, which is most likely what you would do with it anyway.
I do have a level 5 La-Mulana badge. I'm still not gonna craft a foil badge, even for La-Mulana.

I can't remember the conditions for that badge, but you're probably right. I seem to remember if you want to unlock a new account you need to spend $5, and wait a month. Then I guess you'd just add bundle leftovers or free crap from that gleam stuff people are always doing. Then hope you get more than $5 worth of trading cards out of the deal. :)

Summerfling is from the same devs as Divine Slice of Life and Beach Bounce, didn't like those two so much so I doubt I would like the new one. :P Bad storyline and characters, ugly art (storyline can make up for this) and faulty language (which may hinder enjoyment) from what I noticed.

I get the feeling that developer should be making a fps instead, since "visual novel" clearly isn't their strength... The visual part is not so good, and the novel part is worse... :) At least they didn't ruin the skeleton part... :)

Aha, last week I was trying to figure out which badges would be cheapest to finish, but it was so time-consuming... Then, just making the badges I'd saved up took hours... :( And no fun Summer sale game to play, no event, nothing except spend money woohoo...
But then I thought about that poor level 900-something person, his fingers probably fell off making all those badges... :) Unless he paid someone to click the button all day long... :)
Oh, I tried the Secret World for a bit but forgot about it, guess I wasn't in the MMO mood. :( Those things can gobble up all your free time if you let them... So, hmm, not sure if I should feel bad for buying it or good for not getting sucked in... :)

Alas, I don't know anything about art... Most of the visual novels from Japan I've played seem to have a similar look, like they are all part of the same family even if they aren't identical... :) Most of the cheap knockoffs from elsewhere seem to be trying to copy the look, but just end up looking like a cheap knockoff. :) I know a genuine Panaphonics when I see one! And look, there's Magnetbox and Sorny!
Hmm, now that you mention it, I have used that website before, but forgot about it for some reason. :( I was adding up the cost of the missing cards manually, saving links to the badges that weren't cheap enough yet, checking back later, etc. Big waste of time... :)
That Secret World game sounded interesting, so maybe there was a defence mechanism in my brain keeping me from trying it seriously, just in case I got hooked... :)
