hmm... Pokemon I guess since they are a bigger, more established brand. Yokai watch is gaining momentum though. Yokai Watch movie beaten the new Star Wars movies in Japan BoxOffice.

Honestly don´t know; I was to old when those cartoons came to find interest in them, and for cards I was to "deep" in MTG to even consider alternatives.
Thanks!

I started watching Pokemon first and like all the kids in my town I was crazy about them.
At start they were fun as hell but after a few months of episodes it became repetitive.
Ash wasn't catching a cold let alone new Pokemon and for some crazy ass reason he wouldn't evolve the ones he already had or he would let them go once they evolve, even the freaking charizard was left to train somewhere with water and pillars.
Digimon on the other hand at the start seemed to grown up but as I continued to watch them unlike Pokemon they followed my growth.
They moved forward, they suffered loss which was real, bad guys had reasons to be bad either due to their sad past or unlucky turn of events, they had fights between themselves, someone who was bad was able to turn good and so on.
The evolution was amazing and unlike in Pokemon the "trainers" in Digimon actually wanted their Digimons to evolve and become stronger.
I guess what I want to say is that I liked Pokemon so much at the start but as I started to grow Digimon grew on me.
Pokemon were constant never changing and always in some kind of protection against actual harm or suffering while Digimon grew with me and as I came to understand their situation better I saw they represented stuff that I had to deal with.
I can still watch Digimon today but Pokemon, dear God no. even Monster Rancher was better than Pokemon for me :D :D :D

I'd go with the pokemon because they were big part of my childhood, but I also liked digimon movie (which imo was better than pokemon movie)

i like both and monster rancher and hoping to play yokai watch some time soon, but id say with the 2 choices given id pick digimon. mostly cuss the digimon had a better art style and a very nice system . but out of all monster raising battle games id choose monster rancher i liked the monsters better, as well as the art, also the monster unlocking system was fantastic.
