Turritopsis dohrnii better known as the immortal jellyfish is one of the most fascinating creatures on earth. The jellyfish grows to its adult stage of life then once it has reproduced it reverts back to its juvenile stage and starts its life over again. Because they can do this an infinite amount of times it is possible that they could biologically live forever.
And that's not because they're lazy, it's because what they eat is literally poisonous, so they sleep those long hours in order to burn as little energy as possible so that their bodies can work on processing the poisonous food. IF I remember that correctly that is :P.
Also if you take a Koala out of its tree it will die from hunger as it won't eat from another tree, and if you pick the leaves off of the tree and try to feed it then it won't understand what's happening and simply won't eat the leaves that you picked off of the tree, it NEEDs to pick the leaves off of the tree itself otherwise it simply won't eat it.
There exists a pig breed called Mangalica Pigs that grow wool, and are the only breed in the world that does so. They are mainly found in Hungary.
Wombats are the only animals in the world whose poop is cube-shaped. Scientists have determined that it's due to the way their intestinal tract's are shaped and the lack of moisture, but more research is still being done.
The Diving Bell Spider is the world's only spider species that lives almost exclusively underwater, only breaking the surface to replenish oxygen or to bring its prey to the surface. They do so by spinning a web underwater, before swimming upwards and using its abodmen to capture a pocket of air, then bringing it back to its web to build a oxygen reservoir, not unlike a diving bell.
