I checked your key. It wasn't a game key, it was a key for package which includes the orginal game.
You can see package details here; https://steamdb.info/sub/77596/apps/

You can find The Deer game in your library, and even if i give you new key, it won't work. You will get already owned error.

Actually GA and key is not for beta testing. It's just name of the package.
You may try used The Deer key for testing. You will get already owned error, instead of duplicate error.
